Reno Pond Hockey lost last night to the Tahoe Storm. This was Reno Pond Hockey’s fourth straight loss. We struggled to get the puck out of our zone. We struggled to keep the puck out of our net. Reno Pond Hockey’s season isn’t turning out the way we wanted. We are now 3-4. We’re in eighth now. Middle of the pack. Our chances of winning the league are out the window. We can still finish the season strong. I think we will still end the season with a winning record. I believe we can win 4 of our last 5 games if not all of them.
I got hurt in this game. I took a slap shot to the shin. I had to leave the game. I couldn’t put pressure on leg. I’m ok now. My shin is bruised. I’ll be ready to go for our next game. This was something like the fifth time I’ve gotten hurt on the ice out of the last six times I’ve been on the ice. This is like the third time I’ve blocked a shot and gotten my legs hurt in like the last two weeks. Some positive take aways from last night, we did well on positioning, we didn’t get shutout, Megan played really well again, Jake undressed a defensemen to score at the end of the game. It wasn’t the funnest game to play however the attitude was overall positive. It didn’t seem like anyone took this loss too hard.
