In part one of my Reno Ice Adult League concept I made league logos. For part two (this post) I made post season logos. I made playoff, tournament, and bowl game logos for all of the post season events. I also designed some trophies.
Quick recap on the post season format. The top 4 teams in each league go to the playoffs. B-League has additional 4 team tournaments. By the end every team ends up in the league championship, a tournament finals, or a bowl game.
General Playoff and Championship Logos
I made these logos as general playoff and championship logos that could be used across leagues and events. I figure that these would be used online for a website as placeholder logos when talking about the post season before it happens. These would be good for t-shirts. I made them to match the different “level logos” from my last post.
RIAL Visit Reno Tahoe A-League Playoffs and Championship Logos
For this concept the A-League playoffs are sponsored by Visit Reno Tahoe. The A-League playoffs are between the top 4 teams in a league. With the deign of the logo I went with something similar to what a lot of tournaments do. I made the playoffs/championship text the most dominate with the background shape going around the text.
RIAL Visit Reno Tahoe A-League Championship Trophy
For the trophy I thought it should be the Reno Arch. It’s the most iconic land mark in Reno. It’s a heavy tourism spot. Since A-League is sponsored by Visit Reno Tahoe, I thought the trophy should be something iconic from Reno. The top of the trophy would be a metal statue of the Reno arch. Below the arch would be wooden base with a plaque covering the base with the title of the A-League championship game. At the bottom would be a base with plaques with the team names, season, and year of all of the former winners.
RIAL A-League UNR Bowl Logo
For this concept the bowl game between the teams that lost in the first round of the A-League playoffs, is sponsored by the University of Nevada Reno. For this logo I took one of the schools academic logos and put text next to it. Then I put it all together with a background shape. The background shape is the same general shape I used in the league logo. That shape will come up a lot as I try to make logos recognizable that they are a part of the RIAL.
RIAL A-League UNR Bowl Trophy
The University of Nevada Reno are the Wolfpack. So natural a wolf statue came to mind. Majority of this trophy is a silver wolf statue. Below the wolf is a wooden base. In the middle of the base is a plaque with the bowl game title on it. surrounding the middle plaque is designs in the wooden base. On the sides of the base are plaques with the team names, season, and year of all of the former winners.
RIAL A-League TMCC Bowl Logo
For this concept, the bowl game between the 5th and 6th placed A-League teams is sponsored by Truckee Meadows Community College. For the logo, again I just build the shape around the text. Then I added additional shapes inside. Lastly I added some text to the bottom.
RIAL A-League TMCC Bowl Trophy
This trophy was really basic. It’s a Nevada shaped plaque with the bowl game title and the former champions. I was inspired to do this by one of the signs TMCC has on their property.
RIAL The Row B-League Playoffs and Championship Logos
For this concept, the B-League playoffs are sponsored by The Row. The Row (El Dorado, Circus Circus, and Silver Legacy) are now owned by Caesars entertainment. I went with a wreath in the background with text in front of it.
RIAL The Row B-League Championship Trophy
I designed this trophy after the NCAA football playoff trophy. Instead of a football it would be designed around a puck. It would be a gold and silver trophy with a wood base. On the base would be the championship title with team names, season, and year of all of the former winners.
RIAL GSR B-League Tournament Logos
For this concept, the Grand Sierra Resort would sponsor the tournament between the 5th through 8th place teams in the B-League. With this logo I put the GSR logo in a poker chip and the text next to it.
RIAL GSR B-League Tournament Trophy
This trophy was inspired by the big10 hockey trophy. This would be one of only three trophies without the former champions listed on the trophy. The design of this trophy would be silver hockey sticks holding up a puck that has the tournament name on it.
RIAL Atlantis B-League Tournament Logos
For this concept, the Atlantis Casino would sponsor the tournament between the 9th through 12th place teams in the B-League. For this logo I wanted to incorporate the flames that the casino shoots off outside. In the background there is a pillar with a flame above it. It is slightly darker than the background shape. In the front is the text.
RIAL Atlantis B-League Tournament Trophy
This trophy would be a gold torch with an acrylic flame. the torch would be held above the wooden base by acrylic. The wooden base would have the tournament title on it with former champions.
RIAL Peppermill B-League Tournament Logos
For this concept, the Peppermill sponsored the tournament between the 13th through 16th place teams in the B-League. For this logo I started with the trophy. I put it in the background. I put the shapes and text around and in front of it. At the time I didn’t realize it but this is similar to the A-League playoffs logos.
RIAL Peppermill B-League Tournament Trophy
For this trophy I designed a gold trophy with silver handles. This trophy would be a cup. The base would be gold. The base would have the tournament title on it with former champions.
RIAL B-League Reno Aces Bowl Logo
For this concept, the Reno Aces would sponsor the bowl game between the teams that lost in the first round of the B-League Playoffs. For this logo I made a basic circular logo. The lines of the background circle are the same as the baseball in the Aces logo. I put the Aces logo in the middle. I put text above it. I put lines next to it to cover some of the negative space. On the bottom I put another shape with more text and the league logo.
RIAL B-League Reno Aces Bowl Trophy
I based this trophy off of the MLB world series trophy. I just replaced the flags with hockey sticks. This trophy would be gold and silver. This would be another one of the trophies without former champions on it.
RIAL B-League Nugget Bowl Logo
For this concept the Nugget casino would sponsor the bowl game between the teams eliminated in the first round of the GSR tournament. Again this logo is similar to the A-League playoff logos. For this design there is a background shape, a pattern in that shape and text in front of it.
RIAL B-League Nugget Bowl Trophy
The Nugget Bowl would have a WWE style championship belt as the trophy. This again is another trophy without the former champions listed on it.
RIAL B-League Sands Bowl Logo
For this concept the Sands Regency would sponsor the bowl game between the two teams eliminated from the first round of the Atlantis tournament. For this logo I started with a triangle. I then found a script text that I liked and put it in front of the triangle.
RIAL B-League Sands Bowl Trophy
The trophy for the RIAL B-League Sands Bowl would be very basic. A golden cup on a wooden base that has the former champion team names on it.
RIAL B-League Boomtown Bowl Logo
For this concept, Boomtown would sponsor the bowl game between the two teams eliminated from the first round of the Peppermill tournament. I got a little complex with this logo. I started with the ice rink. I made a design of the outside of the building. I put a shape behind that. I then made a circle with the RIAL logo at the bottom. I made some other designs with strokes to put in the logo to make the logo pop. Then I put down the text.
RIAL B-League Boomtown Bowl Trophy
For this trophy I put a model of the rink on a wood base. The model would be metal. On the wood base would be the former champion team names.
RIAL Vegas Golden Knights C-League Playoffs and Championship Logos
For this concept the C-League playoffs are sponsored by the Vegas Golden Knights. For these designs I did something similar to the GSR tournament logos. I put the Knights logo next the the text. I then put some lines in the background.

For the RIAL Vegas Golden Knights C-League Championship trophy I thought sword. I associated knights with sword. Then I thought sword in the stone and now here we are. So the trophy would be gold with a black base. The top of the trophy would be a golden sword. On the base of the trophy would be the names of the title and former champions team names.
RIAL C-League Hot August Nights Bowl Logo
For this concept Hot August Nights would sponsor the bowl game between the teams that get eliminated in the first round of the C-League playoffs. For this logo I was just trying to make it as classic car themed as possible. I went with an older style font. I added the torches from the old Reno sign. I added wings to the logo cause thats a classic car thing.

For the RIAL C-League Hot August Nights Bowl trophy I put an old hood ornament on a wood base. The hood ornament is from a 1938 Packard. On the base of the trophy would be the names of the title and former champions team names.
