Reno Pond Hockey has entered the off season. I want to keep everyone up to date with what is happening as we build up to the fall season. There will be a webpage for an offseason tracker. That page will have a timeline with up to date rosters and everything. I will do update blogs as we go along.
There are some terms that I’m going to use for the offseason tracker. The most common ones I will be using are unknown, moving on, committed, and signed. Unknown means that the person has not reached out to the team. Moving on means that someone was on our team but will not be returning for next season. Committed means that someone has expressed interest in playing for Reno Pond Hockey next season. Signed means that a person has paid the team for next season. We are not actually signing people to contracts. I just wanted a better term than paid.
As of right righting this 15 Reno Pond Hockey players and 2 subs have committed to returning. 3 players have signed. 5 players are moving on. There is only 1 player who’s future with the team is unknown.
The current timeline goes something like this:
- Aug 15 – Season ended
- Aug 16 – Offseason started
- Aug 16 –
- (C) #28 Zachary Seidemann (F) signed
- #4 Josh Lee (F) signed
- #29 Erich Schulz (D) signed
- #69 Chad Payne (F) moving on
- Aug 21 –
- #33 Tim Lauder (G) moving on
- Aug 24 –
- Clint McCoy (G) committed
- #13 Megan Diaz (F) moving on
- #96 Scott Johnson (F) moving on
The biggest blow so far is that our starting goalie Tim Lauder won’t be able to play with us this fall as he’s work is taking him out of town. Our top center Chad Payne (who had 20 points on the season), will also be leaving us. He is going to school in Arizona.
