Next up in the Reno Ice Adult League concept is the Mustangs from A-League.

Mustangs Primary Logo
The primary logo for the Mustangs is a horseshoe with the team name in front of it. Inspiration for the primary logo came from the horseshoe hotel and the horseshoe casino. Inspired for the overall team branding came from the movie Youngblood and the Detroit Red Wings.

Mustangs Secondary logos
The secondary logos are the same design as the primary logo. The coloring is different with the white logo. These logos are interchangeable with the primary logo.

Mustangs Alternative Logos
Why wings? Wings were used for the primary logo in the movie Youngblood. The first two logos are horseshoe logos with wings. The following three logos are M’s with wings with mustang silhouettes. These are modern versions of throwback logos based on the team logo from the movie Youngblood. The next two logos are parts of the primary logo from in front of the horseshoe. the next three logos are the same logos from part of the primary logo with the throwback mustang silhouette below them. The next three logos are M’s with wings. the next two logos are mustang silhouettes. The last two logos are Nevada with a star where representing Reno.

Mustangs Throwback Logos
The first three logos were inspired by the movie Youngblood. they are not exact replicas but are close. the next two logos are mustang silhouettes from the first three logos. The next two logos are M’s with wings from the first three logos. The next two logos are M’s from the first three logos. The next logo is the team name in script with the mustang silhouette below it. This was inspired by this Red Wings logo used in the 2014 winter classic. The last two logos are horseshoe logos. They are the same horseshoe used in the primary logo. When I designed this team I started with the logos inspired by the movie Youngblood and worked my way to the current logos. The idea behind the throwback horseshoe logos is that they would be the predecessor to the current logo. The current logo in this concept is an evolution of the throwback horseshoe logo.

Mustangs Jerseys
The dark and light jerseys use the primary and alternate logos. The jerseys are inspired by the Detroit Red Wings. The design is different. It is not a copy. The design is made up of thick lines on the sleeves and bottom of the jerseys with rounded shoulders with the same colors.
The third jersey has the modern mustang logo. The third jersey has three stripes on the sleeves. A thicker one in the middle with two thiner stripes on the top and bottom. There is a thicker stripe with two thiner stripes above it on the bottom of the jersey. the shoulders on this jersey are square instead of rounded.
The city jersey has four stripes on the sleeves as well as the middle of the jersey. The logo used on this jersey is the alternative Nevada with a star logo. This jersey has stars on the shoulders. This works as a city jersey as it uses the state outline with the star pointing out Reno.
The retro jersey is what the Mustangs would have looked like in the 90’s. It is the evolution of the jersey seen in the movie Youngblood. It is similar to a combination of both of the Detroit Red Wings jerseys. The sleeve stripes would be thicker and the bottom would come up more on the jersey than the Red Wings jerseys. I did the jerseys in an evolution similar to how I did with the logos. In this concept this jersey would have been used from 1990 to 2010 with only slight changes. In this concept this jersey would be the Mustangs most iconic jersey.
The surge jersey is the dark without the bottom stripe on the jersey. The logo is the secondary logo without the horseshoe. Below that is the players numbers. For this concept the Mustangs have had at least one jersey with player numbers on the front since 2008. In 2008 their light jerseys used the throwback horseshoe logo with player numbers inside it. In 2010 their dark jersey did the same.
