Next up in the Reno Ice Adult League concept is RT Janitorial from A-League. The full team name as seen on their jerseys is Reno Tahoe Janitorial. Their team nick name is the Rhinos. This design and branding is primarily inspired by the San Jose Rhinos of the former Roller Hockey International, and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
RT Janitorial Primary Logo
The RT Janitorial primary logo has a triangle in the background, a rhino head in front of the triangle and the team name at the top. When I made the logo I wanted it to have a lot of edges. I wanted it to stand out amongst the other A-League logos. I also wanted to design a rhino head that could have been designed in the 90’s. The reason for this being that in this concept this rhino head design would have been introduced in the 90’s and would seen continued use up to the present. Similar to how the Pittsburgh Penguins have been using the same logo since 2002 while changing the colors.
RT Janitorial Secondary Logos
These logos are a breakdown of the primary logo. The first one is the primary logo without the team name. the second one is the just the rhino head. As secondary logos these can be interchangeable with the primary logo.
RT Janitorial Alternative Logos
The RT Janitorial alternate logos recolors of either the primary and secondary logos or throwback logos. The first two are the original logos in the Rhinos current colors. The next set is the original logos, primary logo, secondary logos and other throwback logos in the Rhinos alternate colors. The last set is the primary logo, secondary logos and other throwback logos in the Rhinos original colors. Below the alternate logos are the wordmark logos.
For this concept all of these logos would have been introduced at the same time with the primary and secondary logos.
RT Janitorial Throwback Logos
For this concept the first two logos and the wordmarks below them are the RT Janitorial original logos. The first logo is a silhouette of a rhino with the team name in front of it. The second logo is the head of the rhino silhouette. These logos would have been introduced in the late 1980’s.
The bottom left two logos replaced the original logos. The first logo in this set is a circle with the rhino head on top of it with the team name and nickname in the outer part of the circle. The rhino head is not centered in this logo but is on the bottom. The second logo in this set is similar. The second logo gets rid of the outer circle, team name, and team nickname. This set would have been introduced in the mid to late 1990’s. The rhino head design introduced in this set would continue to see use 2000’s, 2010’s, and 2020’s. While these logos use the original colors, black would have been introduced into the team colors despite it not being used in the logos.
The bottom right two logos would have replaced the last set of logos. The first logo is a circle logo, with the rhino being placed in center. Above the rhino is the team name, below the rhino is the team nickname. The second logo in this set is a recolor of the second logo in the last set. These logos would have been introduced in the mid to late 2000’s. This set would introduce new team colors. Blue, grey, green and black would have been replaced with black, green and grey. They grey and green are different shades than the original colors.
RT Janitorial Jerseys
The Dark and Light jerseys are basically the same. The dark jersey is black. The shoulders are green with a grey stripe below them. There is a black space between the grey stripe and the shoulders. On the sleeves and bottom of the jersey are green and grey stripes. There is a thicker green stripe on top, a black space, then a thinner grey stripe. The dark jersey has one of the secondary logos on it. Neither the light or dark jersey have shoulder logos. The light jersey is almost identical to the dark jersey. The differences being the jersey is white instead of black and it uses the primary logo instead of a secondary logo.
The 3rd jersey is similar to the Dark and Light jerseys. It uses the same style stripes without anything on the shoulders. The jersey is grey with black and green stripes. The 3rd jersey uses one of the secondary rhino head logo.
The City jersey is in the alternate colors. The design on the sleeves and bottom of the jersey represents mountains. On the front of the jersey is RT. RT stands for Reno Tahoe. On the shoulders is the rhino head logo in the alternate colors.
The Retro jersey for this concept would have been introduced in the mid to late 1990’s and used up until the mid to late 2000’s. The jersey is white black and green with the Rhinos second set of logos. The design on the sleeves is a black stripe with a green stripe inside it. below the green stripe are green triangles. It is the same design on the bottom of the jerseys except the black covers the bottom of the jersey. The second throwback logo set first logo is used on the front of the jersey. The second throwback logo set second logo is on the right shoulder.
The Surge jersey is green and black. The top of the sleeves is black. There is also two black stripes on the sleeves. On the front of the jersey is one of the wordmark logos with the player number on the bottom right of the logo.
