Next up in the Reno Ice Adult League concept are the Swamp Donkeys from A-League. I was originally unfamiliar with what Swamp Donkeys are. At this point I know it is slang for moose. It’s a Canadian term and that’s why I was unfamiliar with it. Anyway the team is inspired by the Manitoba Moose of the AHL and the Winnipeg Jets of the NHL.

Swamp Donkeys Primary Logo
The primary logo is a moose head. Underneath the moose head is a banner that has the team name. For this concept this logo is inspired by an old Swamp Donkeys primary logo.

Swamp Donkeys Alternate Logos
The Swamp Donkeys don’t have any secondary logos. The first two logos are breakdowns of the primary logo. The third logo is the moose head from the primary but in silver. The next two logos are wordmark logos. The next three moose heads are the “robomoose head” in different colors. For this concept the “robomoose head” was introduced in the 2000 and the team has been using it in different colors since the logo’s introduction. The last two logos are the Swamp Donkeys abbreviation “SD” with the moose antlers from the “robomoose”.

Swamp Donkeys Throwback Logos
For this concept the first two logos would be the teams original logos. For the next set of logos the team changed their colors to red, white and blue. The first logo in the second set would have been the primary logo. The first three logos in this set would have been for print and merchandise. The swamp donkeys wordmark logos with the moose head would have been used on jerseys. The last two moose head logos in this set would have also been used for print and merchandise.
The next three red, white and blue circles would have replaced the last set in this concept. The first logo in that set would have been the primary logo. Later on the next two logos would have been used on jerseys while keeping the first logo in this set as the primary logo.
For this concept Following the second set the Swamp Donkeys changed their colors. The blue circle logo would have been the primary logo. The following three logos round out the set.
For this concept the next four logos would have been introduced in the 90’s. The moose head with the banner would have been the primary logo. This set would have replaced the last set.
For this concept the next six logos make up the next set. This set would have been introduced in the 2000’s to replace the last set of logos. This would have been the first introduction of “robomoose”. The first logo shown in this set would have been the primary logo.
For this concept following the 2000’s logos set the Swamp Donkeys would have fully embraced the “robomoose” making it their only logo around the early 2010’s. The blue “robomoose” would have been the primary logo. this would have been replaced by the current logos.

Swamp Donkeys Retro Remix Logos
For this concept the Swamp Donkeys took their throwback logos and made some changes. They changed the colors to match the current colors. They also made slight alterations to some of the logos. This did this primarily for merchandise.

Swamp Donkeys Jerseys
The Dark and Light jerseys use the same template and logos. The dark jersey is polar night blue with the primary logo on the front. The shoulders have the blue SD antlers logo. The Light jersey is the same except it switches white and polar night blue.
The 3rd jersey is similar to the Dark and Light jerseys. It has two stripes on the sleeves just like the Dark and Light jerseys. The 3rd jersey uses more silver than the Dark and Light jerseys. The logo on the 3rd jersey is the Swamp Donkeys wordmark logo.
The City jersey is nicknamed the “Silver State Jersey”. Nevada is the Silver State. The silver jersey with the silver moose head logo reflects that.
The Retro jersey is the only jersey with black in it. The jersey uses the throwback moose head banner logo. For this concept this jersey would have been introduced in the mid 90’s.
The Surge jersey is polar night blue and white. It has four thin white stripes on the sleeves and two thin white stripes on the front. It has the “robomoose” on the front of jerseys.
