RIAL Post Game Report: Reno Pond Hockey VS Black Ox

Reno Pond Hockey took on Black Ox in their last game. It was game three of the RIAL Spring 2022 season. The game took place on March 21st, 2022 at 7:15PM. The game was at Reno Ice.


Reno Pond Hockey was coming off of a 2-6 loss to Flop. Reno Pond Hockey was 0-2-0. Reno Pond Hockey was in 11th place in the standings. Black Ox were coming off of a 3-0 win against the Murder Hornets. Black Ox were 2-0-0. They were in 3rd place. Reno Pond Hockey had not played Black Ox yet. Black Ox is a new team this season.


Black Ox scored first. Reno Pond Hockey did tie the game up at 1-1. That goal came from #71 Dominic Hyer. The goal was on the power play and unassisted. It would be 1-3 Black Ox after the first period. In the second period #71 Dominic Hyer would score again to make it a 2-4 game. The assist would come from #24 Tyler Noblit. The score after two periods was 5-2 Black Ox. The final score was 6-2.

Reno Pond Hockey drops to 0-3-0. They have allowed 18 goals in just three games. They are one of only two teams without a win so far this season. They have not had a lead yet this season. Coming up Reno Pond Hockey will be facing one of the best teams in the league. Reno Pond Hockey is struggling right now. They seem to be keeping games within two goals for the first two periods and then falling apart in the third.


#71 Dominic Hyer scored both of Reno Pond Hockeys goals. #24 Tyler Noblit got the assist on the second goal.
