Up next in the Reno Ice Adult League concept is Mid-Ice Crisis. Mid-Ice Crisis is a play on midlife crisis. For this concept I gave them the nickname silver foxes and gave them a fox as a mascot. Also in this concept they only have players who are 40 years old or older.
For this concept Mid-Ice Crisis plays in the Tahoe Division of B-League along with Cruz Construction, The Tahoe Dawgs, and the Tahoe Storm.

Mid-Ice Crisis Primary Logo
The Mid-Ice Crisis primary logo is a fox head. I get it looks close to a wolf or coyote head. Foxes are in the same family. The colors are forest green, red, tan and yellow. The branding for this concept is inspired by the Minnesota Wild, Iowa Wild, Minnesota Blue Ox, Minnesota Arctic Blast, Alaska Aces, California Angles, and the Vancouver Canucks. With this concept I wanted it to be close to what inspired it without it being instantly recognizable as to what inspired it. Honestly it’s not that hard to tell. The Minnesota Wild have a bear head. This is a fox head. Their both in the same colors. At the end of the day I am happy with how it turned out. I just hope the fans of this series like it too.

Mid-Ice Crisis Alternate Logos
Mid-Ice Crisis doesn’t have any secondary logos. The first alternate logo is the primary logo inside of a circle with the team name. The second logo is the same circle logo with the fox head replaced with player numbers. The next three logos are wordmark logos. Each one of the wordmarks has a script tail that is commonly found in baseball logos. The last four logos say “with love from Reno” which are only used on the city jersey. They are inspired by a mural from downtown Reno. I will talk more about it later.

Mid-Ice Crisis Throwback Logos
For this concept Mid-ICe Crisis has been around since the mid 1990s. The first five logos on the top row are the original branding. The first logo (top left) is the original primary logo.
For this concept in the early 2000’s Mid-Ice Crisis did a rebrand. The reason behind the rebrand was that the team was inspired by the Minnesota Wild to give themselves a facelift. The three logos following the original branding was that new branding. The primary logo had a stylized MIC monogram inside of an oval. Above the oval was the team name. The primary logo without the team name would become of their two alternate logos. Their other alternate logo would be a more legible MIC inside of an oval.
In the mid to late 2000’s they would rebrand again. For this concept they started the process to rebrand almost immediately after launching their first rebranding. Some of the players and fans didn’t like the new rebranding. Fans and players didn’t like how they got rid of the fox or the new colors. The first rebrand would also lead to some of the players leaving the team. This led to launching a new rebranding effort after less than 6 months after what was their current branding. A new branding effort would take years as the team was slow to agree on what direction to go in. The second row is that rebrand. The first logo (first logo, second row) was the primary logo for that rebrand. That logo would be a circle with a new fox design and the team name. The last two wordmark logos would be used all the way up to the current branding.
In the mid 2010s Mid-Ice Crisis decided that they needed an updated look. The last row is the updated rebrand. Basically the branding was a new fox. The primary logo (first logo, third row) Is the fox head with the team name above it.

Mid-Ice Crisis Jerseys
The Dark Mid-Ice Crisis jersey is forest green, tan and red. It has the primary logo on the front. The Light jersey is the same but tan and forest green are flipped. The logo also changes to the wordmark logo.
The 3rd jersey is red, forest green and tan. On the front is the alternate circle logo with the fox head.
The City jersey is inspired by the “with love from Reno” mural from downtown Reno. The mural can be seen here. I am not sure if it is connected but there is a clothing brand by the same name that uses the same logo. I was just inspired by it so I threw it on a jersey.
The Retro jersey is black, blue and silver. On the front of the jersey is the original primary logo. The jersey would have been the original home jersey for Mid-Ice Crisis.
My favorite of these is the city jersey with the retro jersey in close second.
