The Tahoe division is a division in B-League. It only exists in the Reno Ice Adult League Concept. Cruz Construction, Mid-Ice Crisis, Tahoe Dawgs and Tahoe Storm make up the Tahoe Division. For the RIAL concept Cruz Construction is a construction company (not just in the concept). They are also the New York Yankees of the RIAL. Mid-Ice Crisis are a team made up of middle aged athletes. The Tahoe Dawgs are an adult multi-sport club in the Reno/Tahoe area. The Tahoe Storm is a team made up of former Tahoe League players.

Primary Logos
These are the primary logos for the Tahoe division. First up is Cruz Construction. The logo is a double C monogram. Next up is Mid-Ice Crisis who have a fox head as their primary logo. The Tahoe Dawgs have a Saint Bernard as a primary logo. The Saint Bernards association with search and rescue and ski patrol makes it a perfect animal to associate with a team from Lake Tahoe. Lastly is the Tahoe Storm. Their primary logo is a wordmark logo. It is inspired by greeting cards. I think it is a good brand representation for Tahoe. The visit here style can be seen throughout Tahoe.
Jerseys
Quick jersey recap, in the RIAL concept there are no home and away jerseys. Dark and Light jerseys are interchangeable home and away jerseys. 3rd jerseys are alt jerseys. City jerseys connect the team to the community. Retro jerseys are 90’s or 2000’s. Surge jerseys are color rush jerseys. All jerseys can be used for any game as they are not the same primary color. The home team gets first choice on jerseys.
When I designed these jerseys I was not thinking about them as a group. I was thinking about each individual team. With Cruz I knew what I wanted to do going into it. It was just a matter of execution. With Mid-Ice crisis I was trying to not use white in their jerseys. With them I kind of knew what I wanted from the beginning. With Tahoe Dawgs I was thinking about what I could do to make them stand out from all of the previous concepts I did. With their Surge jersey the Idea came to me while I was making one of the alternate logos. Early on I knew that the Retro jersey had to be what it turned out to be. I didn’t know if it come out as well as it was in my head. Then it did. With the other jerseys I had the inspiration. I had some slight creative block but I once I started putting stuff together it worked out. Thinking back to how unique the California Golden Seals were in the landscape of the NHL, I pushed myself to make the Tahoe Storm jerseys as unique as possible. The Storm Dark, Light, 3rd, and City jerseys are probably some of the most unique in the RIAL concept. With the City being the most unique. I knew what the Retro jersey was going to be before I started work on the Storm. With their Surge jersey I knew after I did the Dark/Light jerseys that it was going to be black with a lightning bolt. I didn’t know what I wanted the jersey to look like. I just knew it was going to be black with a lightning bolt. I had to make two or three different jerseys before I found the direction I wanted to go in.
Dark Jerseys
Green, forest green, burgundy and black make up the Dark jerseys of the Tahoe Division. Cruz and Storm don’t use their primary logo on their dark jerseys. Cruz uses their alt wordmark logo. Storm use their secondary logo. With the darker tones of these jerseys they might not work that well against each other. The only ones that could not be used against each other would be the Cruz and Mid-Ice Crisis jerseys. The Tahoe Storm jersey is my favorite Dark jersey in the Tahoe Division. I just really like the way it came together. The best matchup of these jerseys would be Mid-Ice Crisis and Tahoe Dawgs.
Light Jerseys
The Tahoe Division Light jerseys are white and tan. They are all recolors of the Dark jerseys. Mid-Ice Crisis and Tahoe Dawgs change their logos up. Cruz and Storm use the recolored versions of the logos from their dark jerseys. For the Storm it is their primary logo. Mid-Ice Crisis would be the only team able to use their Light jersey while another Tahoe division team uses theirs. The best matchup here is probably Cruz and Mid-Ice Crisis. My favorite here is the Cruz jersey. I just think it pops better than any of the other Light jersey.
3RD Jerseys
The 3rd jerseys are black, red, blue and teal for the Tahoe division. They are all different from their Dark and Light Jerseys. The Tahoe Storm jersey is in their alternate colors. Mid-Ice Crisis, Tahoe Dawgs, and Tahoe Storm all use alternate logos. Cruz Construction uses one of their secondary logos. They could all be used against each other. I think the best matchup again is Mid-Ice Crisis and the Tahoe Dawgs. My favorite is the Mid-Ice Crisis jerseys.
City Jerseys
The Cruz jersey is inspired by the Nevada state motto “Battle Born”. Battle Born stuff is everywhere in Reno. The Mid-Ice Crisis jersey is inspired by a mural from downtown Reno. The Tahoe Dawgs one just says Tahoe. The Tahoe Storm jersey is inspired by the South Lake Tahoe flag. The only ones that could not be worn against each other would be Mid-Ice Crisis and Tahoe Dawgs. I think the best matchup would the Tahoe Dawgs and Tahoe Storm. My favorite is the Mid-Ice Crisis jersey.
Retro Jerseys
The Retro jerseys for the Tahoe division are green, black, white and blue. Cruz Construction, Mid-Ice Crisis and the Tahoe Dawgs all use throwback logos. The Tahoe Storm don’t have any throwback logos. The Storm use an alternate logo designed to look like a throwback logo. The Cruz jersey would have been their mid to late 90s home jersey. The Mid-Ice Crisis jersey would have been their original home jersey. The Tahoe Dawgs jersey would have been one of their original jerseys. The Tahoe Storm jersey is designed to what the Storm might have worn in the 90s. All of these can be worn against each other. The best matchup would be the Tahoe Dawgs and Tahoe Storm. Mid-Ice Crisis and Tahoe Storm would be another good matchup. My favorite here is the Tahoe Storm jersey. It’s tough to pick from this group though as they are all great Retro jerseys.
Surge Jerseys
The Tahoe division Surge jerseys are grey, tan, burgundy, and black. They all use alternate logos. They can all be used against each other. The best matchup is Cruz and Storm. My favorite is the Tahoe Dawgs jersey. The mountains really make the jersey.
