Up next in the Reno Ice Adult League concept is the All-Star Weekend. In this concept, the All-Star Weekend is the last of three major events that occur over the season. The other two events being Championship week and Championship Sunday. Championship week is the week in the post season with all of the tournament finals and bowl games. Championship Sunday is a Sunday where all of the playoff championships are played consecutively.
How All-Star Weekend Works
In this concept, All-Star Weekend takes place the weekend after Championship Sunday. Each team elects players to go to participate in a skills competition and scrimmage. A-League, B-League, and C-League each get their own skills competition and scrimmage. Thursday is a draft party where each league drafts two teams. Friday is the C-League Skills Competition and All-Star Game. Saturday is the B-League Skills Competition and All-Star Game. Sunday is the A-League Skills Competition and All-Star Game. The schedule for each all-star event is skills competition, resurface the ice, then scrimmage.
In this concept, Reno Ice is hosting All-Star Weekend for season one. The location will not change in future seasons but different teams can host it. The draft party is sponsored by and hosted at Revision Brewing Company. All-Star Weekend, Skills Competitions, and All-Star Games are sponsored by William Hill Sports Book.
