The RIAL Winter 2022/23 regular season comes to an end this week. The A-League is having it’s storybook ending to the regular season. The two teams fighting for the last playoff spot will have their chance to get it in their final game of the season against each other. The two teams tied at the top of the league will put it all on the line for the regular season title against each other in their final game of the season. The B-League playoffs are almost set with one final regular season game that will crown a regular season champion. The D-League regular season finishes tonight and the playoffs are all set.
The playoffs will start on March 6th, 2023. The top four teams in each league get in.

In the A-League, RT Janitorial, the Mustangs, and the Reno Gamblers have secured playoff spots. None of the A-League teams have been eliminated from playoff contention yet.
The A-League playoffs are coming down to the last game. The GBB Tooth Fairies and Whiskey Dekes will be fighting it out for the last playoff spot in A-League. They are playing on Thursday. If the game ends in regulation time, the winner will get the last playoff spot. If it ends in a shootout, it will come down to tie-breakers. If Whiskey Dekes wins it will change the playoff bracket.
If the playoffs started today RT Janitorial would play the GBB Tooth Fairies in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be the Reno Gamblers and the Mustangs.
In the A-League, RT Janitorial and the Reno Gamblers are tied for first place. They will be playing each other for their final game of the regular season on Thursday. The winner of that game will walk away as the RIAL Winter 2022/23 A-League regular season title winner. If the Reno Gamblers win it will shake up the playoff bracket.

In the B-League, Cruz Construction, the Tahoe Storm, the Tahoe Dawgs, and 4 Seasons have secured playoff births. Silver State Wire and Carson City Hyundai have been eliminated from playoff contention.
4 Seasons secured the final playoff spot with a 7-4 win over Silver State Wire. Carson City Hyundai came close. They missed out on the playoffs by only one point.
If the playoffs started today Cruz Construction would play 4 Seasons in the semifinals. The other semifinal game would see the Tahoe Storm face the Tahoe Dawgs.
In the B-League, Cruz Construction leads the regular season title race. They lead with 16 points (eight wins). The Tahoe Storm is one point (overtime loss) away from tying for first place. All of the other teams in the B-League have already finished their season. Cruz Construction will play the Tahoe Storm on Saturday. If either team wins during regulation, they will win the RIAL Winter 2022/23 B-League regular season title. If the the Tahoe Storm win in a shootout, it will come down to tie breakers. If Cruz Construction win in a shootout, they will be the RIAL Winter 2022/23 B-League regular season title winners. If the Tahoe Storm win it will shake up the playoff bracket just before the playoffs start.

In the D-League, Reno Pond Hockey, The Guardians, Mid-Ice Crisis, and the Jurassic Pucks have secured playoff births. The Nevada Police Foundation and the Grrrowlers have been eliminated from playoff contention yet.
The Jurassic Pucks secured the final playoff spot with a 4-3 win over The Guardians. The Nevada Police Foundation and the Grrrowlers did come close. Heading into this last week they were both only one point away from tying for the last playoff spot.
In the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League playoffs, the #1 seed Reno Pond Hockey will play the #4 seed Jurassic Pucks in the first semifinal game. That game will be on Monday, March 6th, 2023, at 9:15pm. The second semifinal game will be between the #2 seed The Guardians and the #4 seed Mid-Ice Crisis. The second semifinal game will be on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, at 10:30pm.
In the D-League, Reno Pond Hockey won the regular season title. They are the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League regular season champions. Their 5-1 win over The Guardians and The Guardians 2-4 loss to Mid-Ice Crisis secured the regular season title for Reno Pond Hockey.
