The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2022/23 D-League Playoffs start next week. Reno Pond Hockey ended the regular season last night. The game review for last night’s game is coming. Since the regular season is over we are now talking about the playoffs. The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2022/23 Playoffs will start on Monday, March 6th 2023. The RIAL Winter 2022/23 Playoffs will conclude with Championship Saturday on Saturday, March 11th 2023. People who have been following my playoff updates will already know this information.
Reno Pond Hockey secured a playoff spot after a 4-2 win over the Grrrowlers on February 6th, 2023. This is third time in five seasons where Reno Pond Hockey has made the playoffs. This is the first season Reno Pond Hockey has made the playoffs in back to back seasons. Reno Pond Hockey secured the #1 seed in the playoffs after winning the regular season title. They would secure the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League regular season title by having the best record in the D-League. They got the best record in the D-League after defeating The Guardians 5-1 and The Guardians going on to lose to Mid-Ice Crisis in their following game.
The RIAL D-League Playoff Schedule was announced earlier this week. Reno Pond Hockey being the #1 seed will face the #4 seed Jurassic Pucks in the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League Playoff Semifinal. That game will be on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at 9:15pm. If Reno Pond Hockey win they will advance to the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League Playoff Championship. That game will be on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 at 2:15pm. The RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League Playoff Championship is part of Championship Saturday. On Championship Saturday all three of the championship games are played back to back. If Reno Pond Hockey make the D-League Championship game, that will be back to back appearances for them. That will be the first time Reno Pond Hockey will be in back to back championship games.
The other RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League Playoff Semifinal game is between the #2 seed The Guardians and the #3 Seed Mid-Ice Crisis. That game will be on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at 10:30pm. Just like in the Reno Pond Hockey game, the winner of the second semifinal game will advance to the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League Playoff Championship.
