Yesterday was Championship Saturday. The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2022/23 Playoffs finished up. All three of the championship games were played back to back yesterday. Reno Pond Hockey played Mid-Ice Crisis. That was be followed by Cruz Construction vs the Tahoe Storm. The last game of the day and season saw RT Janitorial take on the Mustangs. It was a thrilling and exciting end to an amazing season.

The A-League Championship game was between the #1 seed RT Janitorial and the #3 seed Mustangs. Their head-to-head record this season was tied at 1-1-0 going into the game. The Mustangs were the defending champions going into the game. RT Janitorial won the game in a 9-2 blowout. RT Janitorial is now the RIAL Winter 2022/23 A-League Champions. The Mustangs were eliminated from the playoffs with the loss.

The B-League Championship game was between #1 seed Cruz Construction and the #2 seed Tahoe Storm. Their head-to-head record this season is tied at 1-1-0. Cruz Construction was the defending B-League Champions. Cruz Construction and the Tahoe Storm are the only teams win the B-League Championship in the four previous seasons that B-League has played. Tahoe Storm was also the only team to beat Cruz Construction during the regular season. The Tahoe Storm won the game in a 3-2 shootout. The D-League Championship game was between #1 seed Reno Pond Hockey and the #3 seed Mid-Ice Crisis. Reno Pond Hockey leads the head-to-head record this season being 2-0-0. Reno Pond Hockey won the first game by one goal and the second game in a shootout. Reno Pond Hockey also eliminated Mid-Ice Crisis in the semifinals of the last D-League playoffs. Reno Pond Hockey won the close game 4-1. Reno Pond Hockey are now the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League Champions. With that result Mid-Ice Crisis were eliminated from the playoffs.
