We are now seven weeks into the Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 regular season. Most teams have played between six and seven games. Only one team has clinched a playoff birth and only one team has been eliminated from playoff contention. Several teams are close to playoff births and several teams are close to being eliminated.

In the A-League, none of the teams have secured a playoff spot yet. None of the A-League teams have been eliminated from playoff contention yet. In the A-League teams have between four and seven games remaining.
The Mustangs are still two wins away from securing a playoff spot. Doughboy’s Donuts! and the Reno Gamblers are three wins away from securing a playoff spots. Whiskey Dekes are still four wins away from securing a playoff spot. The GBB Tooth Fairies are five wins away from securing a playoff spot.
Whiskey Dekes would have to win all of their remaining games to secure a playoff spot. The GBB Tooth Fairies will not be able to secure six wins this season. They can still make the playoff though.
If the playoffs started today the Mustangs would play Whiskey Dekes in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be Doughboy’s Donuts! and the Reno Gamblers.
In the A-League, the Mustangs are the front-runner in the regular season title race. They lead with eight points (four wins). Doughboy’s Donuts!, the Reno Gamblers, and Whiskey Dekes are all two points (one win) behind. The GBB Tooth Fairies are five points (two wins and a shootout loss) behind.
