We are now ten weeks into the Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 regular season. In the A-League the playoffs are set but the matchups are not yet. In the B-League the playoffs are also set but again the matchups are not set yet. In the C-League is cutting it close as no one has secured a playoff spot yet with only one or two games to go. The D-League also has the playoffs set but not the matchups. In the E-League there are still two playoff spots up for grabs with three teams battling it out for them.
One team has secured a regular season title. One other team is close to securing a regular season title. Three of the regular season title races are very close.

In the A-League, the Doughboy’s Donuts!, the Mustangs, and the Whiskey Dekes have secured playoff spots. The GBB Tooth Fairies have been eliminated from playoff contention. The A-League teams have one or two games remaining in the regular season.
If the playoffs started today the Doughboy’s Donuts! would play Whiskey Dekes in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be the Mustangs and the Reno Gamblers. The semifinal matchups can still change but these are the teams that will be in the playoffs.

In the A-League, the Doughboy’s Donuts! lead the regular season title race. The Mustangs are tied with them. They both have two games left so it could come down to their final two games. The Reno Gamblers are two points (one win) behind with one game left. As things stand right now if they win their final game they would also tie for first place. Whiskey Dekes are four points (two wins) behind. They would have to win both of their remaining games to tie for first as things stand.

In the B-League, the Swift Institute, Cruz Construction, Silver State Wire, and Carson City Hyundai have secured playoff spots. In the B-League, 4 Seasons, the Murder Hornets, the Tahoe Storm, and the Reno Fire Hosers B have been have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the B-League teams only have one game remaining.
Carson City Hyundais latest 3-2 win over the Tahoe Storm got them the extra point needed to make the playoffs. The Reno Fire Hosers B are going to miss out by one to three points. The Tahoe Storm are going to miss the playoffs by two to four points.
If the playoffs started today the Swift Institute would play Carson City Hyundai in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be Cruz Construction and Silver State Wire. The semifinal matchups can still be different.

In the B-League, The Swift Institute lead the regular season title race. Cruz Construction is behind by one point (a shootout loss). If the Swift Institute win their final game they will be the B-League regular season champions. If Cruz Construction wins their final game and the Swift Institute lose their final game, Cruz Construction will win the B-League regular season title. The Swift Institute lose their final game in a shootout and and Cruz Construction win their final game the regular season title will come down to tie breakers. If Cruz Construction lose their final game in a shootout and the Swift Institute lose their final game in regulation the regular season title will come down to tie breakers. All six of the other teams are no longer in the regular season title race.

In the C-League, none of the teams have secured a playoff spot yet. The Pale Ales have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the C-League teams have up to two games remaining.
The United Skates have finished the season with five wins. They have no more games remaining. They managed to get 12 points (equal to six wins) by having two games end in shootouts. Howevery they could still tie with the Desert Dogs or Black Ox. At that point it will come down to tie breakers to see who makes the playoffs. If the Desert Dogs or Black Ox lose their last game the United Skates will be in the playoffs.
The Slappy Gilmores are and Blue Moon one shootout loss away from securing a playoff spot. The Desert Dogs and Black Ox need to win their final games to secure playoff spots. It is still a tight race between all of the C-League teams that can still qualify for a playoff spot.
If the playoffs started today the United Skates would play the Desert Dogs in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be the Slappy Gilmores and Blue Moon.

In the C-League, the United Skates now lead the regular season title race with twelve points (5 wins and a two shootout losses). The Slappy Gilmores and Blue Moon are only behind by one point (a shootout loss). The Desert Dogs and Black Ox are behind by two points (one win). If the Slappy Gilmores or Blue Moon win one of their final two games they will over take the United Skates. If the Desert Dogs or Black Ox win their final game they will tie with the United Skates.

In the D-League the playoffs are almost set. Reno Pond Hockey, The Guardians, Mid-Ice Crisis and the Jurassic Pucks have secured playoff spots. Q & D Construction, the Nevada Police Foundation, the Grrrowlers, and the Reno Fire Hosers D have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the D-League teams have up to two games remaining. All of the D-League playoff teams have secured six wins.
If the playoffs started today Reno Pond Hockey would play Mid-Ice Crisis in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be The Guardians and The Jurassic Pucks.

In the D-League, Reno Pond Hockey lead the regular season title race. They lead with sixteen points (eight wins). The Guardians are behind by three points (a win and a shootout loss). The other six teams are no longer in the D-League regular season title race.

In the E-League, Bangarang and the Trash Pandas are still the only teams to secured playoff spots. The Holy Pucks have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the E-League teams have one game remaining.
Satan’s Gatekeepers are still one win from securing a playoff spot. Long Drink is also still one win away from securing a playoff spot. Battle Born are not able to secure a playoff spot but can still make the playoffs.
Satan’s Gatekeepers need at least a shootout loss to secure their playoff spot. Long Drink need a win to secure a playoff spot. Battle Born need at least a shootout loss to keep their playoff hopes alive.
If the playoffs started today the Trash Pandas would play Long Drink in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be Bangarang and Satan’s Gatekeepers.

In the E-League, the Trash Pandas have won the regular season title. They will be the number one seed in the RIAL Spring 2023 C-League playoffs. They are the RIAL Spring 2023 E-League regular season title winners. This marks back to back E-League regular season titles for the Trash Pandas after they won the RIAL Fall 2022 E-League regular season title. The Trash Pandas have finished in the top three during the regular season for all three of the E-League seasons. They have also been in both of the previous E-League Championship games. They have not won a championship yet though. Will this finally be the season they win a championship?
