We are now in the final week of the Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 regular season. The A-League, C-League, and D-League playoffs are set with their regular seasons now over. In the B-League the playoff teams have already been decided with the semifinal matchups still to be determined. In the E-League the playoffs are set but the regular season is not over yet.
The A-League regular season title has been secured. The B-League regular season title is still up for grabs. The C-League regular season title has been won. The D-League regular season title has been won. The E-League regular season title was secured by the time of my last playoff picture update.

The full Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 Playoff schedule has been released. The dates have changed from what I initially thought. There will be some overlap with the end of the regular season and the beginning of the playoffs. The RIAL Playoffs are still single elimination tournaments. The format is still the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs with semifinals followed by championship games. In the semifinals the number one seed plays the number four seed and the number two seed plays the number three seed. The winners of the semifinal games play in the championship game. The Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 Playoffs are set to start on Thursday, May 25th, 2023. That will be the first C-League semifinal game. That game will be between the number two and three seeds. On Monday, May 29th, 2023 will be the second C-League semifinal game between the number one and number four seeds. That game will be followed by the first E-League semifinal game between the number one and number four seeds. On Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 will be the second E-League semifinal game between the number two and number three seeds. On Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 will be the D-League semifinals. Both D-League semifinal games will be played that day. On Thursday, June 1st, 2023 will be the B-League semifinals. On Friday, June 2nd 2023 will be the A-League semifinals. On Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 will be Championship Saturday. That will see the E-League, the D-League, and the C-League championship games being played back to back. On Sunday, June 4th, 2023, will be Championship Sunday. That will see the B-League and the A-League championship games being played back to back.


In the A-League, the Doughboy’s Donuts!, the Mustangs, and the Whiskey Dekes have secured playoff spots. The GBB Tooth Fairies have been eliminated from playoff contention. The A-League has finished the regular season.
The number one seed Doughboy’s Donuts! will play the number four seed Whiskey Dekes in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup will be the number two seed Mustangs and the number three seed Reno Gamblers. Both RIAL Spring 2023 A-League Semifinal games will be on Friday, June 2nd, 2023.

Doughboy’s Donuts! have won the RIAL Spring 2023 A-League Regular season title. They had the best record in the A-League this season. They went 7-3-0 with 12 points which did end in a tie with the Mustangs but Doughboy’s Donuts! won on tie breakers. This is their first regular season title since changing their name going into this season.

In the B-League, the Swift Institute, Cruz Construction, Silver State Wire, and Carson City Hyundai have secured playoff spots. In the B-League, 4 Seasons, the Murder Hornets, the Tahoe Storm, and the Reno Fire Hosers B have been have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the B-League teams only have one game remaining.
If the playoffs started today the Swift Institute would play Carson City Hyundai in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be Cruz Construction and Silver State Wire. The semifinal matchups can still be different.

In the B-League, The Swift Institute lead the regular season title race. Cruz Construction is behind by one point (a shootout loss). If the Swift Institute win their final game they will be the B-League regular season champions. If Cruz Construction wins their final game and the Swift Institute lose their final game, Cruz Construction will win the B-League regular season title. The Swift Institute lose their final game in a shootout and and Cruz Construction win their final game the regular season title will come down to tie breakers. If Cruz Construction lose their final game in a shootout and the Swift Institute lose their final game in regulation the regular season title will come down to tie breakers. All six of the other teams are no longer in the regular season title race.

In the C-League, the Slappy Gilmores, Blue Moon, United Skates, and Black Ox have secured a playoff spots. The Pale Ales and the Desert Dogs have been eliminated from playoff contention. The C-League has finished the regular season.
The number one seed Slappy Gilmores will play the number four seed Black Ox in the first semifinal game. That game will be on Thursday, May 25th, 2022. The number two seed Blue Moon will play the number three seed United Skates in second semifinal game. That game will be on Monday, May 29th, 2023.

The Slappy Gilmores have won the RIAL Spring 2023 C-League regular season title. They did that with a record of 7-2-1 and 15 points. This is their third regular season title and third regular season title in a row. They won the RIAL Summer 2022 D-League regular season title and the RIAL Fall 2022 C-League regular season title in the previous two seasons.

In the D-League , Reno Pond Hockey, The Guardians, Mid-Ice Crisis and the Jurassic Pucks secured playoff spots. Q & D Construction, the Nevada Police Foundation, the Grrrowlers, and the Reno Fire Hosers D have were eliminated from playoff contention. The D-League has finished the regular season.
The number one seed Reno Pond Hockey will play the number four seed Jurassic Pucks in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup will be the number two seed The Guardians and the number three seed Mid-Ice Crisis. The D-League semifinal matchups are the same they were last season. Both D-League semifinal games will be on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023.

Reno Pond Hockey won the Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 regular season title. They did that after having an undefeated season going 10-0-0 with 20 points. They have not lost a game since December of 2022. This is also back to back D-League regular season titles as they also won the RIAL Winter 2022/23 D-League regular season title.

In the E-League, Bangarang, the Trash Pandas, Long Drink, and Satan’s Gatekeepers secured playoff spots. The Holy Pucks, and Battle Born have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the E-League there is one game remaining.
The number one seed Trash Pandas will play the number four seed Satan’s Gatekeepers in the first semifinals game. That game will be on Monday, May 29th, 2023. The other semifinal game will be between the number two seed Bangarang and the number three seed Long Drink. The second E-League semifinal game will be on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023.

The Trash Pandas won the Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 E-League regular season title. They won the title with a record of 9-1-0 and 18 points. This is their second regular season title. They have now won back to back regular season titles. Their last regular season title was the RIAL Fall 2022 regular season title. The Trash Pandas have appeared in both of the prevues E-League Championship games but have not won either.
