The schedule for the next Reno Ice Adult League season has been released. The next season is the RIAL Summer 2023 season. It will be the eighth RIAL season. The full schedule can be seen on the Reno Ice Adult League website here. It does look like they are still working on parts of the schedule. A full-release post will be out later today for Reno Pond Hockey. The season will begin on June, 5th. That is this Monday. There will be no off season. The season will end on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023. A-League will be on hiatus for the RIAL Summer 2023 season.
The Reno Ice Adult League Summer 2023 season will start on Monday, June 5th, 2023. Each team will play ten regular season games. This is how it how it has been going back to the RIAL Summer 2022 season. The A-League will be on hiatus. They will not be playing. The B-League will have eight teams for the second season in a row. The all six of the C-League team are returning. It looks like the Pale Ales will return to being the Summer Shandy. D-League will have eight teams for the second season in a row. All six of the E-League teams are returning. It doesn’t look like there will be any realignment for the upcoming season. The regular season will end on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023.
The B-League will start their seventh season on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. B-League will open up the season with a game between the Reno Fire Hosers B and the Tahoe Storm at 10:15pm.
The C-League will start its seventh season on Monday, June 5th, 2023. They will open up the season with a game between the Summer Shandies and the Desert Dogs 9:00pm.
The D-League will start its fourth season on Monday, June 5th, 2023. The Grrrowlers will take on The Reno Fire Hosers D at 10:30pm.
The E-League will start its fourth season will start on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023. The Holy Pucks will take on Battle Born at 10:00pm.
The playoff format looks like it will remain the same. It should be a four-team playoff. The top four teams would make the playoffs in a four-team playoff. With that format as well there should be semifinal games followed by each league’s championships. That is the same playoff format that the RIAL has had sine the RIAL Summer 2022 season. The postseason will start Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023. It will go until Sunday, August 27, 2023. Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 looks like it will be the C-League and E-League semifinals. The D-League Semifinals appear to be on Saturday, August, 26th, 2023. I didn’t see any dates for the B-League semifinals. That is part of the schedule they are still working on.
