Zac Electrifly

The first quarter of 2023 (January 1st through March 31st) was solid. January was slow following the World Cup in December. It was mainly slow on my end as I was kind of burnt out from covering the World Cup. Then I got back on track in February. I had a good jump in views in March. Outside of January there was an increase in views every month compared to 2022. January 2023 was still the second highest January for views I have had though. Overall my feeling going into April was optimism. There was a lot of content I wanted to create. Things were good and on an upwards trajectory.

What happened in April? I got thirty six posts out in April. That was five less than I did in March 2023. It was thirty more posts then I got out in April of 2022. April saw more of the same posts I was getting out in February and March. There was the RIAL power rankings, the Reno Pond Hockey posts, the RIAL concept posts, and the AHL concept posts. April also saw t RIAL playoff posts. I also started my coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in April.

What happened in May? I got forty seven posts out in May. That was eleven more posts than I did in April 2023. It was an increase of twenty seven posts from May 2022. The RIAL playoffs finished up. The Stanley Cup Playoffs was moving along. I was able to get Reno Pond Hockey posts out as well as the RIAL power rankings and RIAL concept posts out. In may we also learned of a new soccer stadium being built in Reno.

What happened in June? I only got twenty six posts out in June. That was twenty one less post than in May 2023. It was also ten more posts than in June 2022. I felt like I didn’t get a lot done in June and missed a lot at the end of the month. The RIAL playoffs were back in Late may early June. I was getting other RIAL and Reno Pond Hockey posts out. The Stanley Cup Playoffs finished up. I got out concept posts for NBA Finals as ice hockey, the Stanley Cup Finals, and the RIAL concept.

April was the first month in 2023 to see a decrease in views. There was a total of 971 views. It was 617 more views than in April of 2022. That is an increase of 57%. It was 421 less views than in March of 2023. That is a decrease by 69% from March to April. Despite this it turned out to be the highest April even in views.

Things continued to go down but only slightly in May. May had a total of 923 views. It was 363 more views than in May of 2022. That is an increase of 64%. It was 48 less views than in April of 2023. That was a decrease of just 5%. Like in April, May 2023 turned out to be the highest ever May in views so far.

Views finally went up in June. June had a total of 1,037 views. Making it the third month in 2023 to hit over 1,000 views. It was also the fourth month in a row to get over 900 views. It was 511 more views than in June of 2022. That was an increase of 97%. It was 114 more views than in May of 2023. That was an increase of 12%. This was the highest ever June in views so far. It was also the first June to reach over 1,000 views.

This is the first quarter in 2023 that has seen an increase in views for each month compared to 2022. Quarter two fo 2023 had a total of 2,931 views. It had 1,488 more views than quarter two of 2022. That was an increase of 103%. It had 260 less views than in quarter one of 2023. That was a decrease of 9%. I missed my goal of 3,000 views in quarter two by only 69 views. Despite that I think it was a solid quarter. The growth is there.

So far zacelectrifly.com has had 6,122 views after two quarters. I am on track to hit 12,224 views by the end of 2023. That would make 2023 the largest viewed year so far. I am only 2,660 views behind the total views of 2022. I will probably pass that number in quarter three of 2022. After two quarters in 2023 there has been an increase of 2,451 views. That is a 66% increase. While these number may not be big relative to other people it shows the growth is there.

My American Hockey League concept has kind of gotten left behind. I have not gotten a post out for that since April. I am working on that. i have part of the latest team done and several teams already planned out. I am trying to get as many of those teams and posts done before the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. I thought the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 started last quarter but it will actually start this quarter. That is starting this month and I will be covering that. I will also be doing another ice hockey crossover concept for that event. I have a lot of blogs and concepts I am planning on doing. The RIAL Concept season two should be finished by the end of this month if not the end of this quarter. There is a lot on the horizon.

I am also working on updating zacelectrifly.com and the Zac Electrifly shop. I should be done with those updates by the end of this month. I have gotten all of these views without any paid advertising in 2023. I don’t think I did any paid advertising in 2021 or 2022 either. I have done all of this mainly through sharing on social media. I did create a new advertising plan in late 2022 early 2023 but I have not been able to do it yet. The goal of that plan is to increase views on here by around 1,000 from where I am at now and to get more visitors to the Zac Electrifly shop. The goal has been for a while now to make a living off of this. Advertising should help me reach that goal. It will be coming at some point in the second half of 2023. Hopefully by the end of this month. Maybe by the end of this quarter. Definitely by the end of 2023. That is something to watch out for.
