The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 starts next week. I am excited about it. The FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar was a lot of fun to watch. There was a lot of exciting moments in that tournament. That event did end in an iconic way. The FIFA World Cup 2022 was only eight months ago. The FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 is far less controversial and political than the FIFA World Cup 2022 was. It is looking to be another thrilling Women’s World Cup.

In this post I will be talking about the kits (uniforms) that will be used at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

The kit providers for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 are Nike, Adidas, Puma, Hummel, Saeta, Castore, Reebok, Le Coq Sportif, Grand Sport, and KoPa. The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will have ten kit providers for thirty two teams. The FIFA World Cup 2022 had nine kit providers for thirty two twams. The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 only had five kit providers for twenty four teams.

Nike and Adidas as the dominate brands again. Other returning brands for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 that were in the FIFA World Cup 2022 are Puma and Hummel. Brands that were in the FIFA World Cup 2022 that will not be providing kits for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 are One All Sports, New Balance, Marathon Sports, Majid, and Kappa. The most notable brands missing are New Balance and Kappa. There are some new comers as well. Saeta, Castore, Reebok, Le Coq Sportif, Grand Sport, and KoPa will be providing kits to teams for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 but did not provide kits for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The biggest new comer for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 is Reebok. Reebok is no longer owned by Adidas and is using the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 to start their journey back into pro sports jersey manufacturing.

Nike Adidas, Puma, and Le Coq Sportif, are the returning kit manufactures from the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019. Warrix is the only brand not returning to manufacture kits for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 after providing kits for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019. Hummel, Saeta, Castore, Reebok, Grand Sport, and KoPa did not make kits for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019.

New Zealand – The first two kits seen above are the New Zealand kits. New Zealand are hosting the event with Australia. Their kits are made by Nike. They have a black and a white jersey. The black jersey has a leaf pattern on it inspired by their logo. The white jersey has some light blue on it white that leaf pattern on part of the sleeves. Overall they are not that bad.

Norway – The second two kits seen above are for Norway. The Norway kits are made by Nike. Norway has a red and a white kit. Their red kit has some blue in in it. Their white kit has some blue and red in it. Overall the Norway kits (like a lot of nike kits) are fairly plain.

Philippines – The next three kits are the Philippines. Their kits are made by Adidas. The Philippines are one of only a few teams to have three kits. They have a red kit, a blur kit, and a white kit. The red kit has some blue and gold with some white striping. The blue kit has some red, white and yellow mixed in. Their white kit has some blue and yellow mixed in with some striping. I am not a huge fan of these kits but it looks like they tried to do something different.

Switzerland – The last two kits here are for Switzerland. Their kits are made by Puma. Switzerland has a red and a white kit. The red kit has white in it. It also has some white striping with a mountain pattern. Their white kit has some red in it with some striping on the sleeves front and shoulders. I think Switzerland has the best kits in Group A by far.

Australia – The first two kits seen above are the Australia kits. Australia are hosting the event with New Zealand. Their kits are made by Nike. They have a yellow and a teal kit. The yellow kit has green in it with a swirling pattern on it. The teal kit has some yellow and blue in it. Outside of the pattern on yellow kit these kits are unremarkable.

Canada – The second two kits seen above are for Canada. Their kits are made by Nike. Canada has a red kit and a white kit. The red kit has black and whit in it with a maple leaf geometric pattern. Their white kit is just white and red. While their white kit is pretty basic their red kit is the best one in Group B. It could also be the best Nike kit for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. These kits are a huge step up from the kits Canada had in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Nigeria – The next two kits are for Nigeria. Their kits are made by Nike. Nigeria has a black and a green kit. The Green Kit has a little bit of black and white. It has a pattern on the sleeves. Their black kit has a pattern around the whole kit. The black kit is the standout here but I think both kits could have been better.

Republic Of Ireland – The last two kits here are for Ireland. Their kits are made by Castore. Ireland is the only Castore team in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. Ireland has a green and a white kit. The green kit has orange and white on it but a lot of the details are small and easy to miss. Their white kit has green and orange on it as well with stripes across the front. I like their white kit a lot more than their green kit. I think they could have done something better with the striping though.

Costa Rica – The first two kits seen above are the Costa Rica kits. Their kits are now made by Adidas. For the FIFA World Cup 2022 they were made by Puma. They have a red and a white kit. The red kit also has white and blue on it. The white kit has black and gold on it with some vertical stripes. Where these kits stand out is with the crest. The crest has extra embellishments on it like a lot of National Hockey League logos have on their jersey. Overall they are solid kits.

Japan – The second two kits seen above are for Japan. The Japan kits are made by Adidas. They have a pink kit and a blue kit. Their pink kit is pink and purple and looks amazing. Their blue kit is the same one they used for the FIFA World Cup 2022. It is blue, white, and red with a pattern on the front that references origami. Japan had two of the best kits during the FIFA world cup 2022. They continue to have great its here for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. I think Japan has the best kits in Group C.

Spain – The next two kits are for Spain. They are made by Adidas. Spain has a red and a white kit. Their red kit is the same as the one used in the FIFA World Cup 2022. It is red, blue and golds and fairly minimalistic. Their white kit is white, purple, blue, and pink. It has a coral type pattern on the kit. I think their white kit is one of the best designs for the FIFA Women’s world cup 2023.

Zambia – The last three kits here are for Zambia. Their kits are made by KoPa. They are the KoPa team for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. They have a yellow kit, a white kit, and a green kit. Their yellow kit is yellow with black. It has a design under the crest on the front of the jersey. Their white kit is white and green and is as basic as they come. Their green kit is solid green with the same pattern under the crest on the front that the yellow jersey has. The pattern does change on the green jersey. the pattern is now yellow, red, and black instead of just black. I do like these kits and the green one is by far the best. I think it would improve though if the pattern that is on the front of the yellow and green kits was on the white kit.

China – The first two kits seen above are for China. They are made by Nike. They have a red kit and a yellow kit. The red kit is red and yellow with a xiangyun symbol pattern. The yellow kit is yellow and red without any patterns or notable features. I think the yellow kit will stand out on the field for sure but both of the Chinese kits are pretty plain.

Denmark – The second two kits seen above are for Denmark. They are made by Hummel. Denmark are the only Hummel team for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. They have a red and a white kit. The red kit is red and white with a design inspired by pop art. The white kit is white and red with the same pop art inspired pattern. I think these kits are better than their FIFA World Cup 2022 kits.

England – The next two kits are for England. They are made by Nike. England has a white and a blue kit. The white kit is white and blue and is basic. I think the minimalism of this kit works though. The blue kit is blue, dark blue and white with a pattern inspired by the the Umbro England 1990 World Cup third kit and the Adidas Arsenal 1991-93 ‘Bruised Banana’ away kit. I think the blue kit gives England the best kits in Group D.

Haiti – The last three kits here are for Haiti. They are made by Seata. Haiti is the only Seata team in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. Haiti has a blue kit, a white kit, and a red kit. Their blue kit is blue and red. It has a stylized fleurs-de-lis, small dots and the word “HAITI” spelled out in a diamond shape pattern on it. It has a gradient on the sleeves. Their white kit is white, blue and red with the same pattern. Their red kit is red and blue with the same pattern. all three kits are basically recolored versions of the same design. I like the design and the meaning behind the design.

Netherlands – The first two kits seen above are the Netherlands. They are made by Nike. They have and orange and a blue kit. The orange kit is just orange with blue logos and a camouflage pattern that blends into the kit. While it is plain it is trying to keep the Netherlands tradition of having an orange kit. While I do find this one more appealing than their orange FIFA World Cup 2022 kit, I still think it is lacking in any iconic elements. Their blue kit is blue, red, and white. The blue kit has a pattern on it inspired by the lioness. I do think these kits are a step up from their FIFA World Cup 2022 kits but the orange kit is dragging them down.

Portugal – The second two kits seen above are for Portugal. They are made by Nike. Portugal has a red and a white kit. The red kit is red and green and is again another plain Nike kit. Their white kit is where things get interesting. Their white kit is white, mint green, and red with red and mint blotches. The blotches remind me of candy. I don’t think the red kit is as good as either of the Portugal FIFA World Cup 2022 kits. I think the white kit is better than both of the Portugal FIFA World Cup 2022 kits. Honestly Portugal are strong contenders for the best kits in Group E

United States – The next two kits are for the United States. They are made by Nike. The United States have a white kit and a blue kit. The white kit is white and blue with a splatter paint pattern. The Blue kit is blue and red with a blue camouflage pattern and a lightning bolt pattern on the sleeves. Overall these are way better than their FIFA World Cup 2022 kits. I still think they could still be better.

Vietnam – The last two kits here are for Vietnam. They are made by Grand Sport. Vietnam are the only team to use Grand Sport for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. They have a red kit and a white kit. Their red kit is just red with some gold trim. Their white kit is white and red with a marble pattern. Vietnam is also the only team to use their flag on the front instead of a crest. I am not a fan of the red kit and the only thing I like about the white kit is the collar.

Brazil – The first two kits seen above are for Brazil. They are made by Nike. Brazil has a yellow kit and a blue kit. Brazil has always had a yellow kit and a blue kit going back to the 1950s. Their yellow kit is yellow and green. Their blue kit is blue and green and stands out with a leaf pattern on the shoulders and sleeves. Their yellow kit is what os expected from Brazil but it does not do anything to separate itself from the past yellow Brazil kits. The blue kit is one of the nicer Nike kits for this competition.

France – The second two kits seen above are for France. they are made by Nike. France has a blue kit and a white kit. The blue kit is blue, white and red with a wavy graphic pattern. On the sleeves it is red, white, and blue like the french flag. Their white kit is white, blu, and red with a splatter paint pattern on the sleeves and a line graphic on the front. These kits are better than the French FIFA World Cup 2022 kits. I especially like the crest on these.

Jamaica – The next two kits are for Jamaica. They are made by Adidas. Jamaica has a yellow kit and a black kit. Their yellow kit is yellow, green, and black with striping. The black kit is black, tan and red. Like Brazil, Jamaica has always had a yellow kit but unlike Brazil they have always found ways to make each one unique and stand out from its past versions. I think Jamaica has the best kits in Group F.

Panama – The last two kits here are for Panama. They are made by Reebok. Panama are the only team using Reebok kits for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. Panama have a red kit and a white kit. Their red kit is red, blue and white. It has a hexagon pattern on the front. The white kit is white and blue. It has that same hexagon pattern on the sleeves. These kits are solid. While not as nice as some of the other kits Reebok has made kits that stand out amongst the rest of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 kits. Their design reminds me of the 2002-2007 era of soccer kits.

Argentina – The first two kits seen above are for Argentina. They are made by Adidas. Argentina has a black kit and a white kit. Their black kit is black, teal, orange, and blue. It has paint strokes across the front. Their white kit is white, blue and black. It is the same kit used during the FIFA World Cup 2022. Their black kit is easily one of the best kits in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. They easily have the best kits in Group G. i also think Group G has the best kits overall.

Italy – The second two kits seen above are for Italy. They are made by Adidas. Italy has a blue kit and a white kit. Their blue kit is blue, white, and gold with a marble pattern. Their white kit is white, blue and gold with a different marble pattern. Overall they are solid kits that are minimalistic while eye catching.

South Africa – The next three kits are for South Africa. They are made by Le Coq Sportif. South Africa are the only team using Le Coq Sportif for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. South Africa have a yellow kit, a green kit, and a white kit. The Yellow kit is yellow and green with a pattern on the front. Their green kit is green and yellow with a pattern on it. Their white kit is white, gold, blue, and green. The design of the kit has multiple patterns come together without it looking like multiple jerseys were stitched together. Their white kit stands out the most but all three are good kits.

Sweden – The last kit here is for Sweden. It is made by Adidas. Sweden has only released one kit prior to the FIFA Women’s world Cup 2023. I have seen two different yellow jersey floating around saying that they will be used as their other kit. Those jersey are the Sweden 2022-2023 Home kit and the Sweden 2021-2022 Home kit. I have not seen anything confirming what Swedens second kit will be if they even have one. England never used their red shirt during the FIFA World Cup 2022 so it is possible that Sweden may only be using one kit for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. Their kit is blue and gold with a pattern inspired by icy waters. It is another contender for top kit of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2022.

Columbia – The first kit seen above is the Columbia kit. It is made by Adidas. Columbia are another team that has only released one kit. They might wear their 2022-23 Home kits as their other kit but that is yet to be confirmed. Their kit is blue, pink and yellow with a pattern inspired by Caño Cristales river. It is another amazing kit from Adidas.

Germany – The second two kits seen above are for Germany. They are made by Adidas. Germany has a white kit and a green kit. Their white kit is white, black, gold, and red. It is the same kit Germany used during the FIFA World Cup 2022. Their green kit is green, gold, and black with a pattern inspired by tree branches. Germany has the best kits in Group H.

Korea Republic – The next three kits are for Korea. They are made by Nike. Korea has a red kit and a white kit. The red kit is red and pink and is a plain as a lot of the other Nike kits. Their white kit is white, black, red, and blue. Their white kit is again pretty plain. Their kits are significantly worse than their FIFA World Cup 2022 kits.

Morocco – The last kit here is for Morocco. It is made by Puma. Morocco is another team that has only released one kit. Their kit is red, green and gold with a pattern on the front. I think it is worse than their FIFA World Cup 2022 white kit but better than their FIFA World Cup 2022 red kit.
