Yesterday was the thirteenth day of Conceptober. I wasn’t able to get my concept out yesterday. Yesterday’s prompt was to create a jersey concept for a school team. There are a lot of options with that. I decided to go with a college team for this concept. I stuck with the NCAA division one teams to keep it simple. I have done a college ball hockey concept in the past. I do have an NCAA ice hockey concept that I am planning on doing soon.
Again I used the Wheel of Names to pick a team for this concept. I started by picking an NCAA conference. Included in that spin where all of the NCAA FBS conferences and independent teams, the FCS conferences and independent teams, The non-football multi-sport conferences and independent teams, and the ice hockey conferences and independent teams. Including all of those conferences meant a lot of teams were entered multiple times. In total their was forty nine conference and independent team options. The Winner ended up being the Pioneer Football League.
The Pioneer Football League is a football only conference in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. It will likely not be included in my NCAA ice hockey concept. The Pioneer Football League has eleven teams. All of the teams play their other sports in a separate primary conference. The winner ended up being the Morehead State University Eagles. Their primary conference is the Ohio Valley Conference. From what I could tell they do not have an ice hockey team.
The Morehead State Eagles are sponsored by Under Armour. The jersey is blue, yellow, and white. The design of the jersey is inspired by their basketball jerseys. On the front is their M logo. On the shoulders are their eagle wordmark logo. This would probably be their home or alternate jersey.
