Today is the fifteenth day of Conceptober. Todays prompt is to create an identity swap jersey concept. The idea is to design one team using the design style and visual elements of another. It’s basically a mashup of two teams. It is common to see these types of concepts for rival teams. Recoloring one teams logo or uniform in the colors of their rival. It gets a lot of love on the internet for something that I usually find to be low effort. Recoloring team logos or uniforms usually requires minimal effort.
Again I used the Wheel of Names to pick a team for this concept. I stuck with the NHL again to keep things simple. Excluded where the Florida Panthers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Calgary Flames, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Vancouver Canucks, the New York Islanders, the Winnipeg Jets, the Ottawa Senators, the San Jose Sharks, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Montreal Canadiens. The winning team was the Detroit Red Wings. The second spin came up with the Boston Bruins. So for this concept I had to mash up the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins.

The logo is a mash up of the Boston Bruins logo and the Detroit Falcons logo. The jersey is inspired by the Red Wings away jersey. The jersey is black and gold with the identity swap logo on the front.
