Like I said in my last post, I am super behind on Conceptober. The prompt on the 20th was to create a Color Rush jersey concept. Color Rush is something that the National Football League did in partnership with Nike. What they did was create “matchup-specific uniforms that are primarily one solid color with alternating colored accents” to gain more viewers on Thursday Night Football. It didn’t really work though as fans did not like the new uniforms or the color on color matchups. The uniforms would not remain only on Thursday Night Football and would eventually be discontinued. I have a similar series of jerseys called Surge jerseys in my Reno Ice Adult League concept.
Again I used the Wheel of Names to pick a team. I stuck with the National Hockey League to keep things simple. I did exclude the Florida Panthers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Calgary Flames, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Vancouver Canucks, the New York Islanders, the Winnipeg Jets, the Ottawa Senators, the San Jose Sharks, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Montreal Canadiens, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Philadelphia Flyers. The winner ended up being the Nashville Predators.
The primary color of the jersey is blue since they do not currently have a blue jersey. The secondary color is yellow. The design is inspired by their current and former jerseys. On the font is a recolored version of the Nashville Predators Primary logo.
