The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2023-24 playoffs are coming up in a little over a month. Teams now have between three and five games remaining in the regular season. It looks like the playoffs will start on Sunday, February 25th. All of the championship games will be played back to back on Sunday, March 3rd. There is still plenty of hockey left in the season. There is still plenty of room in the playoffs. The season is over half way over. It is time to take an early look at the RIAL playoff race.
In the A-League, Doughboy’s Donuts! are the only team to have secured a playoff spot. None of the other teams have secured a playoff spot yet. With four games left the Reno Gamblers are three wins away from securing a playoff spot. With five games left, Whiskey Dekes and the Mustangs are both four games away from securing playoff spots. With four games left the Great Basin Brewing Misfits won’t be able to secure six wins but they are only one win out of a playoff spot.
If the playoffs started today Doughboy’s Donuts! would play the Mustangs. The Reno Gamblers would play Whiskey Dekes.

With three games remaining Silver State are three wins away from securing a playoff spot. With five games remaining 4 Seasons and the Reno Fire Hosers B are four wins away from securing a playoff spot. With four games remaining the Tahoe Storm are four wins away from securing a playoff spot. With three games remaining the Slappy Gilmores will not be able to secure six wins. They can still make the playoffs. They are currently only one win out of a playoff spot.

Mid-Ice Crisis and the Jurassic Pucks are both three wins away from securing a playoff spot with four games remaining. The Guardians are four wins away from a playoff spot with four games remaining. Reno Pond Hockey will not be able to secure six wins. They have not been eliminated from the playoffs yet. They are three wins outside of a playoff spot.
