Week four of the Sierra Inline Hockey League was last Saturday. This was the second week in a row where teams played two games. That was due to week one and week two being postponed due to the rink conditions. The weather was good in week four. Not too cold. There was plenty of action as well. There was four total games in week four. Would Reno Pond Hockey get their first win of the season? Would Team B turn their back to back wins into a winning streak? How would Team A preform with back to back games for the second week in a row? Would team D get their second win of the season?

Four games were scheduled for week four. This was the second week in a row with four games. Each team played two games. Game one was Reno Pond Hockey versus Team D. Game two was Team B versus Team A. Game three was Reno Pond Hockey versus Team A. The final game of the day was Team D versus Team B.

This is a rematch of the final game in week three. Reno Pond Hockey was looking for their first win of the season. Team D was looking to make it back to back wins. Reno Pond Hockey was coming off of a 6-7 loss to Team D. Reno Pond Hockey had a record of 0-2-0 going into this game. Reno Pond Hockey were in last place. Team D was coming off of a 7-6 win over Reno Pond Hockey. They were in second place. Team D had a record of 1-1-0 going into this game. The last game between Reno Pond Hockey and Team D ended in a 6-7 loss for Reno Pond Hockey. Team D won their only other meeting this season.

Reno Pond Hockey did not have an issue with a lack of players this week. The game was close. Both teams traded leads. Reno Pond Hockey won the game 5-3. Reno Pond Hockey scored three goals in the final ten minutes to win the game. Their final goal came with only a few seconds on clock to put the game out of reach of Team D. Overall it was a really good game.

In the second game of the day Team B took on Team A. Team B was looking to start their season off with their third win in a row. Team A was looking for their second win of the season. Team B was coming off of back to back wins in week three. They won their previous game 5-2 against Team A. They had a record of 2-0-0 going into this game. Team B were in first place. Team A was coming off of a 5-2 loss against Team B. They were in third place. Team A had a record of 1-1-0. The last game between Team B and Team A ended in a 5-2 Team B victory. Team B won their only meeting of the season so far. This was the first of back to back games for Team A.

The final score was 5-3 Team B. Team A managed to keep the game within two goals. That was one more goal than they scored in their last matchup with Team B. Team B started the season off with three straight wins.

In the third game of week four Reno Pond Hockey played Team A. Reno Pond Hockey was looking for their second win of the season. Team A was looking for their second win of the season. This was the first game of the season between Reno Pond Hockey and Team A. Reno Pond Hockey was coming off of a 5-3 win against Team D. Reno Pond Hockey had a record of 1-2-0 going into this game. Reno Pond Hockey was still in last place. Team A was coming off of a 5-3 loss to Team B. Team A had a record of 1-2-0 going into this game. Team A was in third place. These two teams had not played each other yet this season.

This was the highest scoring game of the day. The final score was 8-4 Team A. Reno Pond Hockey just could not stop Team A from scoring in this game. At one point Team A even scored a Michigan goal. Reno Pond Hockey did play a lot better in the second half but by that point it was already to late.

In the final game of week four Team D played Team B. Team D was looking for their second win of the season. Team B was looking for their fourth win of the season. This was the first game of the season between Team D and Team B. Team D was coming off of a 3-5 loss to Reno Pond Hockey. Team D had a record of 1-2-0 going into this game. Team D was in second place in the standings going into this game. Team B was coming off of their third straight win against Team A. Team B had a record of 3-0-0 going into this game. Team B was still at the top of the standings going into this game. These two teams had not played each other yet this season.

This game would not be close either. Team B won the game 6-2. Team B has now won four games in a row to start the season. I think that is one of the best starts by a team since the league resumed for the 2022 season. Team D lost both of their games in week four. They are the second team to lose back to back games this season.

Reno Pond Hockey got their first win of the season. It came a lot sooner than last season. This is only their third win since joining the league in 2022. All of the teams now have one win so far this season. Team B is the first team to get on a winning streak. They have won four games in a row to start the season. Back to back games seemed not to effect Team A as they quickly went from a tough loss to a blowout win. Team D did not get their second win. Team B did stay on top of the standings.

Team B are in first place with four wins and zero losses. They have eight points. They have scored twenty three goals. They have allowed only nine goals. They are the first team to score twenty goals and the only team left with under ten goals allowed. They have a goal differential of ten.

Team A are in second place with two wins and two losses. They have four points. They have scored nineteen goals. They have allowed eighteen goals. They have a goal differential of one.

Team D are in third place with one win and three losses. They have two points. They have scored sixteen goals. That is the least in the league. They have allowed nineteen goals. They have a goal differential of minus three.

Reno Pond Hockey are in last place with one win and three losses. They have two points. They have scored seventeen goals. They have allowed twenty five goals. That is the most in the league. They are the first team in the league to allow twenty or more goals. They have a goal differential of minus eight. Reno Pond Hockey and Team D are tied for last place with two points each but Reno Pond Hockey has a worse goal differential which is why they are in last place. The standings are not up on the league website. One of the scores is wrong on the league website.
