The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2023-24 regular season is almost over. The regular season ends on Sunday. The playoffs also start on Sunday. Only four games remain. In the A-League the four playoff spots are taken. The only thing left is to determine some of the seeding. In the B-League the playoffs are set. In the D-League the race for the final playoff spot is close. All of the regular season champions have been determined as well.
In the A-League, Doughboy’s Donuts!, the Mustangs, the Reno Gamblers, and Whiskey Dekes have advanced to the playoffs. The Great Basin Brewing Misfits have been eliminated from playoff contention. Doughboy’s Donuts! are the only A-League team to secure six wins.
The Reno Gamblers and Whiskey Dekes are tied with both teams having one game remaining. They will play in the final A-League regular season game on Sunday. The winner will have the opportunity to advance up to second place. The loser will be in fourth place. Neither team will want to be in fourth place as the fourth place team will have to face the number one seed Doughboy’s Donuts! in the semifinals. The Mustangs are waiting on the results of this game to see if they will remain in second place.
If the playoffs started today the number one seed Doughboy’s Donuts! would play the Whiskey Dekes. The Mustangs would play the Reno Gamblers.
Doughboy’s Donuts! have won the RIAL Winter 2023-24 A-League regular season title. They still have one more game to play in the regular season. They currently have eight wins and sixteen points. This is the Doughboy’s Donuts! second A-League regular season title and third A-League regular title as a franchise.

In the B-League, the Swift Institute, Carson City Hyundai, and the Tahoe Storm secured playoff spots. Cruz Construction also made the playoffs with five wins beating out Silver State with tie breakers for the fourth playoff spot. The B-League regular season comes to an end tonight with a game between the seventh place Slappy Gilmores and the eighth place Reno Fire Hosers B.
The number one seed Swift Institute will play the number four seed Cruz Construction in the first RIAL Winter 2023-24 B-League Semifinal. That game will be on Monday, February 26th, 2024 at 10:00 PM. The number two seed Carson City Hyundai will play the number three seed Tahoe Storm in the second RIAL Winter 2023-24 B-League Semifinal. That game will be on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024 at 10:30 PM. The winners will advance to the RIAL Winter 2023-24 B-League Championship on Sunday, March 3rd at 7:00 PM.
The Swift Institute won the RIAL Winter 2023-24 B-League regular season title. They won the regular season title with nine wins and eighteen points. This is their first regular season title.

In the D-League, Bangarang, Q & D Construction, and the Trash Pandas have secured playoff spots. The Jurassic Pucks, Mid-Ice Crisis and Reno Pond Hockey have been eliminated from playoff contention.
The Reno Fire Hosers D are currently in the last playoff spot. The Guardians are one point behind with one game remaining. If the guardians win their final game they will be in the final playoff spot. If The Guardians lose in a shootout they will tie for the last playoff spot. At that point it will come down to tie breakers. The Guardians play the final game of the D-League regular season tonight against the Trash Pandas.
If the playoffs started today the number one seed Bangarang would play the Reno Fire Hosers. The number two seed Q & D Construction will play the number three seed Trash Pandas in the second RIAL Winter 2023-24 D-League Semifinal. That game will be on Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 6:30 PM. The RIAL Winter 2023-24 D-League Championship will be on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at 5:30 PM.
Bangarang won the RIAL Winter 2023-24 D-League regular season title. They won the regular season title with eight wins and sixteen points. This is their first D-League regular season title. This their second RIAL regular season title. They also won the RIAL Summer 2023 E-League regular season title.
