The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued yesterday with two games. The Florida Panthers played the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Carolina Hurricanes played the New York Islanders. There are fur games happening tonight. The New York Rangers are playing the Washington Capitals. The Vancouver Canucks are playing the Nashville Predators. The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Colorado Avalanche. The Edmonton Oilers are playing the Los Angeles Kings. There will be plenty of action tonight.

The Florida Panthers took on the Tampa Bay Lightning in game three of their first round series. The Panthers were leading the series 2-0 coming into this game after winning both of the first two games. This was the first game of the series in Tampa Bay. The Panthers scored first halfway through the first period. #19 Matthew Tkachuk scored the goal with #15 Anton Lundell and #23 Carter Verhaeghe getting the assists. The first period ended with the Panthers leading the game 1-0.
Less than a minute into the second period, the Lightning tied the game with a goal from #91 Steven Stamkos. His goal was assisted by #77 Victor Headman and #86 Nikita Kucherov. Two minutes later #64 Tyler Motte scored to give the Lightning the lead. His goal was assisted by #84 Tanner Jeannot. Halfway through the period, #13 Sam Reinhart scored for the Panthers to tie the game. His goal was assisted by #10 Bladimir Tarasenko and #62 Brandon Montour. With three minutes to go in the second period, #62 Brandon Montour scored. His goal gave the Panthers the lead. It was assisted by Seven Lorentz and #8 Kyle Okposo. The score was 3-2 Panthers going into the third period.
Halfway through the third period, #18 Steven Lorentz scored to give the Panthers a two goal lead. His goal was assisted by #21 Nick Cousins and #42 Gustav Forsling. With five minutes to go in the game, #20 Nicholas Paul scored for the Lightning. His goal brought the Lightning back to within one goal. It was assisted by #10 Anthony Duclair and #81 Erik Cernak. With thirty two seconds left in the game, #19 Matthew Tkachuk scored his second goal of the game. His empty net goal gave the Panthers a two goal lead. His goal was assisted by #23 Carter Verhaeghe and #42 Gustav Forsling. The final score was 5-3 Panthers. The Florida Panthers now have a 3-0 series lead.


This game was the third close game in a row in this series. Both teams traded leads. The Panthers found a way to get up by two goals. The Lightning could not catch up. Now the Lightning are in danger of being swept by the Panthers. Game four is a must win for the Lightning. If they lose game four they will be eliminated from the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Game four of this series will be on Saturday, April 27th. Puck Drop is set for 2:00 PM. That game will be in Tampa Bay.


The Carolina Hurricanes played the New York Islanders in game three of their first round series. The Hurricanes were up in the series 2-0 coming into this game. This was the first game of the series in New York. Five minutes into the game the Hurricanes took the lead with a goal from #8 Brent Burns. His goal was assisted by #88 Martin Necas and #86 Teuvo Teravinen. About halfway through the first period, #7 Dmitry Orlov scored to give the Carolina Hurricanes a two goal lead. The score was 2-0 Hurricanes after the first period.
Three minutes into the second period, #18 Pierre Engvall scored for the Islanders. His goal was assisted by #27 Anders Lee and #3 Adam Pelech. With tweleve minutes left in the second period, #20 Sebastian Aho scored for the Hurricanes to retake the two goal lead. His goal was assisted by #37 Andrei Svechnikov and #5 Jalen Chatfield. With just over two minutes to go in the second period, #29 Brock Nelson scored for the Islanders. His goal brought the lead back down to one goal. It was assisted by #21 Kyle Palmieri and #6 Ryan Pulock. The score was 3-2 Hurricanes heading into the third period.
Neither team scored in the third period. The Hurricanes held onto their lead. The final score was 3-2 Hurricanes. The Carolina Hurricanes now have a 3-0 series lead.


The Hurricanes were able to hold onto their one goal lead. The Islanders were not able to tie the game. The Hurricanes so far have proved to be too much for the Islanders. The Islanders have done nothing so far to keep up with the Hurricanes. Now the Islanders are in danger of being swept. The Hurricanes have a chance in game four to eliminate the Islanders. There is a high probability they will. Unless the Islanders can step up to another level that has not been seen so far in this series.
Game four of this series will be on Saturday, April 27th. Puck drop is set for 11:00 AM. The game will be in New York.

This is the first game of the series in Washington. Puck drop is at 4:00 PM. The Rangers will have the chance to take a 3-0 series lead. Will the Rangers put themselves in a position to win the series in game four? Will home ice help the Capitals win?

This is the first game of the series in Nashville. Puck drop is at 4:30 PM. The winner will take the series lead. Can the Canucks win in Nashville? Will the home crowd help Nashville take the series lead?
The Winnipeg Jets take on the Colorado Avalanche in game three of their first round series. The series is tied at 1-1. The Jets won game one. The Avalanche won game two. This is the first game of the series in Colorado. The winner of this game will take the series lead. Can the Jets come into Colorado and win? Will home ice give the Avalanche the edge?
The Edmonton Oilers take on the Los Angeles Kings in game three of their first round series. The series is tied at 1-1. The Oilers won game one. The Kings won game two in overtime. Will the offense be on display again in this game? Will there be more overtime? Will the Oilers offense come out on top? Will the Kings defense stop the Oilers?
