The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued yesterday with two games. The Florida Panthers played the Boston Bruins in game three of that series. That series was tied at 1-1. The Vancouver Canucks played the Edmonton Oilers in game two in that series. The Canucks were leading that series 1-0. There are two games going on today. The New York Rangers will have the opportunity to sweep the Carolina Hurricanes in game four of that series. One team will take the lead in the tied series between the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche.
The Florida Panthers played the Boston Bruins in game three of their second round series. The series was tied after both teams traded blowout wins. This game was in Boston. With twelve minutes left in the first period, the Panthers scored. #17 Evan Rodrigues scored the goal with #42 Gustav Forsling getting the assist. The score was 1-0 Panthers after the first period.
With three minutes left in the second period, #10 Vladimir Tarasenko scored to give the Panthers a two goal lead. His goal was assisted by #9 Sam Bennett and #91 Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Exactly one minute after that goal, #23 Carter Verhaeghe scored to give the Panthers a three goal lead. His goal was assisted by #19 Matthew Tkachuk and #16 Aleksander Barkov. The score was 3-0 Panthers going into the third period.
Four minutes into the third period, the Panthers scored. #62 Brandon Montour scored the Panthers goal. #19 Matthew Tkachuk and #16 Aleksander Barkov got the assists. A minute later #94 Jakub Lauko scored for the Bruins. Hos goal was assisted by #74 Jake DeBrusk and #19 John Beecher. Halfway through the third period, #74 Jake DeBrusk scored for the Bruins. His goal was assisted by #6 Mason Lohrei and #88 David Pastrnak. With a minute and half left in the game, #13 Sam Reinhart scored for the Panthers. His goal was assisted by #19 Matthew Tkachuk and #62 Brandon Montour. Thirty seconds later, #17 Evan Rodrigues scored for the Panthers. His goal was assisted by #91 Oliver Ekman Larsson and #27 Eetu Luostarinen. The final score was 6-2 Panthers. The Florida Panthers now have a 2-1 series lead.
The Panthers carries over the momentum they had from game two and didn’t take their foot off the gas. The Bruins really didn’t show up in this game. It is looking like a repeat of how their series played out last year.

Halfway though the first period, #29 Leon Draisaitl scored for the Oilers to tie the game. His goal was assisted by #97 Connor McDavid and #93 Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The score was tied 1-1 after the first period.
A minute into the second period, #6 Brock Boeser scored for the Canucks to take the lead. His goal was assisted by #7 Carson Soucy and #91 Nikita Zadorov. Just over thirty seconds later, #14 Mattias Ekholm scored for the Oilers to tie the game. His goal was assisted by #97 Connor McDavid and #29 Leon Draisaitl. With under two minutes left in the second period, #91 Nikita Zadorov scored for the Canucks. His goal was assisted by #9 T.J. Miller. The score was 3-2 Canucks going into the third period.
Six minutes into the third period #97 Connor McDavid scored for the Oilers to tie the game. His goal was assisted by #18 Zach Hyman and #29 Leon Draisaitl. The score was tied at 3-3 after the thied period. The game went into overtime. Six minutes into overtime, #2 Evan Bouchard scored to win the game for the Oilers. His goal was assisted by #29 Leon Draisaitl and #97 Connor McDavid. The final score was 4-3 Oilers. The series is now tied at 1-1.
The Oilers tied the series. The Oilers stayed right with the Canucks in this game. This series is looking to become pretty even.

The New York Rangers take on the Carolina Hurricanes in game four of their second round series. The Rangers lead the series 3-0. If the Rangers win, they will eliminate the Hurricanes. If the Hurricanes win they will force a game five. This game will be in Carolina. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:00 PM. Will the Rangers complete the sweep? Will the Hurricanes find a way to win before it is too late?
The Dallas Stars take on the Colorado Avalanche in game three of their second round series. Their series is tied at 1-1. This game will be in Colorado. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Will the Stars carry over their momentum from their game two win? Will the Avalanche be boosted by their home crowd to get the win?
