The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2024 season came to an end on Sunday as the final three championship games were played. The RIAL Spring 2024 Playoffs started on May 12th. I didn’t do posts like I normally like to do for the RIAL playoffs this season as I was traveling while most of the playoffs were going on. Despite that I am still getting a post out about this seasons playoffs. All of the information for this post comes from the leagues current website. They are changing the website moving forward. Hopefully there will not be as many issues with score reporting on the new website.
In the A-League, the Reno Gamblers, Doughboy’s Donuts!, the Mustangs, and Whiskey Dekes secured playoff spots. The Great Basin Brewing Misfits were the only team eliminated from playoff contention.
The Whiskey Dekes beat the Reno Gamblers 5-4 in the first RIAL Spring 2024 A-League Semifinal game. Doughboy’s Donuts! beat the Mustangs 9-5 in the second RIAL Spring 2024 A-League Semifinal game. The Doughboy’s Donuts! beat Whiskey Dekes 5-3 in the RIAL Spring A-League Championship game. Doughboy’s Donuts! are the RIAL Spring 2024 A-League Champions. This was the Doughboy’s Donuts! third RIAL A-League Championship.
The Reno Gamblers won the RIAL Spring 2024 A-League regular season title. They did that with six wins and thirteen points. This is their fifth RIAL A-League regular season title. Their last regular season title was during the fall 2023 season.

In the B-League, the Reno Fire Hosers B, Cruz Construction, and the Swift Institute secured playoff spots. The Tahoe Storm also advanced to the playoffs. 4 Seasons, Carson City Hyundai, Silver State, and the Slappy Gilmores were eliminated from playoff contention.
The Swift Institute beat Cruz Construction 7-6 in the first RIAL Spring 2024 B-League Semifinal game. The Tahoe Storm beat the Reno Fire Hosers B 3-2 in the second RIAL Spring 2024 B-League Semifinal game. The Swift institute beat the Tahoe Storm in the RIAL Spring 2024 B-League Championship game. The Swift Institute are the RIAL Spring 2024 B-League Champions. This is the Swift Institutes fourth B-League Championship win in a row.
The Reno Fire Hosers B won the RIAL Spring 2024 B-League regular season title. They won the regular season title with eight wins and seventeen points. This is their first regular season title.

In the C-League, Black Ox and the Desert Dogs secured playoff spots. The Murder Hornets and United Skates also advanced to the playoffs. The Tahoe Tessies and Blue Moon were eliminated from playoff contention.
The Desert Dogs beat the Murder Hornets 9-2 in the first RIAL Spring 2024 C-League Semifinal game. The United Skates beat the Black Ox 3-1 in the second RIAL Spring 2024 C-League Semifinal game. The United Skates beat the Desert Dogs 2-1 in the RIAL Spring 2024 C-League Championship game. The United Skates are the RIAL Spring 2024 C-League Champions. This is the United Skates first RIAL Championship.
Black Ox won the RIAL Spring 2024 C-League regular season title. They won the regular season title with nine wins and eighteen points. This is their first regular season title.

In the D-League, Bangarang, The Guardians, and Jurassic Pucks secured playoff spots. Mid-Ice Crisis also advanced to the playoffs. The Reno Fire Hosers D, Q & D Construction, the Trash Pandas, and Reno Pond Hockey were eliminated from playoff contention.
Bangarang beat Mid-Ice Crisis 7-5 in the first RIAL Spring 2024 D-League Semifinal game. The Guardians beat the Jurassic Pucks 5-1 in the second RIAL Spring 2024 C-League Semifinal game (according to the league website). The Jurassic Pucks were in the final instead of The Guardians despite losing the semifinal game (again according to the league website). I don’t know why. Bangarang beat the Jurassic Pucks 6-5 in the RIAL Spring 2024 D-League Championship game. Bangarang are the RIAL Spring 2024 D-League Champions. This is their fifth championship as a franchise. Bangarng has won three RIAL E-League Championships and now back to back D-League Championships.
Bangarang won the RIAL Spring 2024 D-League regular season title. They won the regular season title with nine wins and nineteen points. This is their second D-League regular season title. This their third RIAL regular season title.

In the E-League, Battle Born, Long Drink, and Satan’s Gatekeepers secured playoff spots. Pure Luck also advanced to the playoffs. The Grrrowlers and Holy Pucks were eliminated from playoff contention.
