The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued last night with one game. It was game two of the Eastern Conference Finals. That series is between the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers. The Panthers were leading that series going into that game. Tonight there is one game. Game two of the Western Conference Finals is tonight. That series is between the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers are currently leading that series.

The New York Rangers took on the Florida Panthers in game two of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Panthers were leading the series coming into the game. The Panthers won game one 3-0. This game was in New York. Five minutes into the first period, #16 Vincent Trocheck scored to give the Rangers the lead. His goal was assisted by #23 Adam Fox and #10 Artemi Panarin. With just under two minutes left in the first period, #23 Carter Verhaeghe scored for the Panthers to tie the game. His goal was assisted by #9 Sam Bennett and #16 Anton Lundell. The score was tied at 1-1 after the first period.
Neither team scored in the second period. The score was still tied at 1-1 going into the third period. No one scored in the third period either. The game would go into overtime tied at 1-1. With six minutes left in overtime, #21 Barclay Goodrow scored to win the game for the Rangers. His goal was assisted by #16 Vincent Trocheck and #8 Jacob Trouba. The series is now tied at 1-1.


This was another close game. It was back to back overtimes in the Conference Finals. The Rangers found the goal in overtime. Now the series is tied as it heads to Florida. This close game may not be an indication of the rest of the series. after all the panthers did had a commanding game one win. If things continue to play out like they did in game two, this series will go to seven games.
Game three of the Eastern Conference Finals will be on Sunday, May 26th at 12:00 PM. That game will be in Florida.

The Dallas Stars take on the Edmonton Oilers in game two of the Western Conference Finals. The Oilers have a 1-0 series lead after winning game one 3-2 in double overtime. This game is in Dallas. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00 PM. Will there be more overtime? Will the Stars tie the series? Will the Oilers continue to find a way to win?
