The Oilers were leading that series. There is one game today. It is game three of the Eastern Conference Finals. That series is between the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers. That series is tied at one game a piece.

The Dallas Stars took on the Edmonton Oilers in game two of the Western Conference Finals. The Oilers were leading the series coming into the game. The Oilers won game one 3-2 in double overtime. This game was in Dallas. Four minutes into the first period, #14 Jamie Benn scored to give the Stars the lead. His goal was assisted by #53 Wyatt Johnston and #4 Miro Heiskanen. Under a minute later, #28 Connor Brown scored for the Oilers to tie the game. His goal was assisted by #5 Cody Ceci and #37 Warren Foegele. The score was tied at 1-1 after the first period.

Neither team scored in the second period. The score was still tied at 1-1 going into the third period. Four minutes into the third period, #27 Mason Marchment scored to give the stars the lead. His goal was assisted by #20 Ryan Suter and #18 Sam Steel. With two minutes left in the game, #23 Esa Lindell scored scored to give the Stars a two goal lead. The final score was 3-1 Stars. The Western Conference Finals are now tied at 1-1.

This was another close game with the Dallas Stars finding a way to keep and hold the lead. Yeah the Stars won with a two goal lead but most of the game was tied. It will be interesting to see what both teams do from here as the series is back to being tied. Most of this series looks like it will come down to who can find the edge in each game. It seems like momentum is not carrying over. The game, the last period, and the last goal does not seem to matter in this series so far. It has been all about who can score next.

Game three of the Western Conference Finals will be on Monday, May 27th at 5:30 PM. That game will be in Edmonton.
