That series is between the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers. The Eastern Conference Finals are all tied up right now.
The Dallas Stars took on the Edmonton Oilers in game four of the Western Conference Finals. The Stars were leading the series 2-1 coming into the game. The Stars took the series lead after a 5-3 win in game three. This game was in Edmonton. Juts under a minute into the game. #53 Wyatt Johnston scored to give the Stars the lead. His goal was assisted by #14 Jamie Benn and #55 Thomas Harley. Six minutes into the game, #23 Esa Lindell scored to give the Stars a two goal lead. His goal was assisted by #4 Miro Heiskanen and #14 Jamie Benn. With six minutes left in the first period, #71 Ryan McLeod scored for the Oilers to get the lead back down to one goal. His goal was assisted by #90 Corey Perry and #25 Darnell Nurse. With three minutes left in the first period, #2 Evan Bouchard scored for the Oilers to tie the game. His goal was assisted by #97 Connor McDavid and #93 Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The score was tied at 2-2 after the first period.
With five minutes left in the second period, #13 Mattias Janmark scored to give the Oilers the lead. His goal was assisted by #28 Connor Brown. Under a minute later, #29 Leon Draisaitl scored to give the Oilers a two goal lead. His goal was assisted by #18 Zach Hyman and #97 Connor McDavid. The score was 4-2 Oilers going into the third period.
With two minutes left in the third period, #14 Mattias Ekholm scored to give the Oilers a three goal lead. His goal was assisted by #97 Connor McDavid. The final score was 5-2 Oilers. The Western Conference Finals is back to being tied.
This was a huge comeback win for the Oilers. The Oilers needed to win this game or face elimination in game five. They delivered after a shaky start. The Stars had the lead. There is no excuse for them. They lost the lead before the first period was over. They never recored from that. All this sets up a very interesting game five in Dallas. The winner in game five will have to games games to win the series. The loser in game five will have to win back to back games to stay alive.
Game five of the Western Conference Finals will be on Friday, May 31st at 5:30 PM. That game will be in Dallas.
