The ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs finished up on June 8th. The Florida Everblades and Kansas City Mavericks were in the 2024 Kelly Cup finals. The Florida Everblades were back to back champions coming into this season. The Florida Evereblades were the Florida Panthers secondary affiliate at the time. The Kansas City Mavericks are the Seattle Krakens secondary affiliate. The Florida Everblades play at the 7,181 capacity Hertz Arena in Fort Myers, Florida. The Kansas City Mavericks play at the 5,800 capacity Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri which is a satellite city of Kansas City. The Florida Everblades won the best of seven series 4-1. They are the first team to win three Kelly Cups in a row. This concept will be like my 2024 IIHF World Juniors Concept, my 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship Concept, my 2024 Professional Women’s Hockey League Finals Concept, and my 2024 CHL Memorial Cup Final Concept.
The ECHL released new logos for the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs. They had been using their previous playoff logo since at least the 1999-2000 season. Their new logo aligns with what other leagues like the NHL and AHL are doing with their playoff logos. The logo has three versions, one says playoffs, one says champions, and one says finals.
The Florida Everblades colors are green, blue, and grey. Their primary logo is an alligator with the team name below it. Their other logo I used for this concept is a wordmark logo. The Kansas City Mavericks colors are orange, grey, silver, and black. Their primary logo is a KC with “Mavericks” below it. Their secondary logo is the KC from their primary logo. This season they also had a fifteenth Anniversary logo. The anniversary logo is an interlocking XV with a banner that has “2009” and “2023” on it. The anniversary logo also has the primary logo on it.
Both teams are sponsored by Athletic Knit. Athletic Knit provides uniforms for the entire ECHL. The Florida Everblades home jersey is grey, green, blue, and white. The pattern on the jersey is inspired by their past jerseys and the Florida Panthers jerseys. The jersey does include gator teeth which is what the Everblades jerseys have become known for. On the front is the primary logo. On the sleeves is the woodmark logo. The number placement and sleeve placement have been flipped. Also on the front is the Kelly Cup Finals logo. The everblades away jersey is green, blue, grey, and white. It has the same pattern and logos as the home jersey. The Kansas City Mavericks home jersey is white, orange, and black. On the front is their secondary logo. Also on the front is the Kelly cup Finals logo. On the shoulders are the Seattle Kraken logo and their anniversary logo. The Mavericks away jersey is black, orange, and white. On the front is the primary logo. Also on the front is the Kelly Cup Finals logo. On the shoulders are the Seattle Kraken logo and their anniversary logo. Games in Florida would have a grey against black jersey matchup. Games in Kansas City would have a white against green matchup.
