In the E-League, Reno Pond Hockey, Mad Hops, and Satan’s Gatekeepers have secured playoff spots. None of the E-League teams have been eliminated from playoff contention yet. Teams in the E-League have three games left in the regular season.
The threshold to secure a playoff spot in the E-League has now moved to nine points since the bottom two teams can no longer secure nine points. There is also only one playoff spot left in the E-League. The playoff race has moved down to just three teams. Pure Luck are currently in the last playoff spot. They are three points away from securing a playoff spot. They need a win and one game to go to a shootout to secure a playoff spot. The Holy Pucks are four points out of a playoff spot. They need to win two of their last three games to tie for the last playoff spot. The Grrrowlers are six points out of a playoff spot. They need to win all of their remaining games to tie for the last playoff spot.
Pure Luck only need to win one more game with the Holy Pucks losing one more game to advance to the playoffs. If Pure Luck lose to Satan’s Gatekeepers in their next game, their game against the Holy Pucks would be a must win game that could be a playoff deciding game. If Pure Luck finish the season with three straight losses, the Grrrowlers would have to beat the Holy Pucks to keep Pure Luck in the last playoff spot. The Holy Pucks will have to beat Reno Pond Hockey or lose with Pure Luck losing to the Satan’s Gatekeepers to stay in the playoff race. The Holy Pucks would then need to beat Pure Luck in regulation to tie for the last playoff spot. Then the Holy Pucks would need to finish the season with a win over the Grrrowlers with Pure Luck losing to Reno Pond Hockey to get into the last playoff spot. The Grrrowlers have to beat Mad Hops, Satan’s Gatekeepers and the Holy Pucks to stay in the playoff race. With three wins the Grrrowlers would need Pure Luck to lose all three of their remaining games. The Grrrowlers would also need the Holy Pucks to lose to Reno Pond Hockey then have the Holy Pucks beat Pure Luck and then beat the Holy Pucks.
If the playoffs started today, Mad Hops would play Pure Luck. Reno Pond Hockey would play Satan’s Gatekeepers.
Mad Hops now lead the E-League regular season title race. Reno Pond Hockey is tied with them. Satan’s Gatekeepers are three points behind. Pure Luck, the Holy Pucks, and the Grrrowlers are out of the regular season title race.
