The Games of the XXXIII Olympiad are well under way. They have been going for over a week now. I did want to get this out closer to the start of the event. There are no variations of ice hockey at the 2024 Summer Olympics. There is field hockey but that is a completely different sport. I do think that inline hockey should be in the summer Olympics. Ball hockey could also be in the summer Olympics. Neither of those sports are popular enough for the International Olympic Committee to approve. I wanted to do a concept for Paris 2024 for ice hockey. What if Ice Hockey was in the summer Olympics? This concept will be like my Qatar 2022 ice hockey concept and my Australia New Zealand 2023 ice hockey concept. The 2024 Summer Olympics are being hosted in Paris.

For this concept, none of the logos for the event are changing. The Paris 2024 logo stays the same either in color or in all white. Unlike in Qatar 2022 and Australia New Zealand 2023, teams only have the Paris 2024 logo on their jerseys instead of badges. For Qatar 2022 and Australia New Zealand 2023, teams had badges worn on the shoulders that changed depending on what stage of the tournament they were in or if they were defending champions. The officials still have a badge in this concept. I did not create a pictogram for this concept.

All of the teams in this concept will be based on the national teams in the Paris 2024 soccer tournaments. All of the groups will stay the same in this concept as they are in the Paris 2024 men’s soccer tournament. There won’t be any new logos for teams. Teams will not be using their national team logos used in other FIFA competitions for this concept. For this concept, teams will be using their olympic team logos. Some of those logos will be modified or recolored. The jerseys will be inspired by their soccer jerseys worn at Paris 2024. Each team will get at least two jerseys.

There are sixteen teams in the men’s tournament. Six of the nations were in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. France, The United States, Guinea, and New Zealand are in Group A. Argentina, Morocco, Iraq, and Ukraine are in Group B. Uzbekistan, Spain, Egypt, and the Dominican Republic are in Group C. Japan, Paraguay, Mali, and Israel are in Group D. Eleven of these nations have national ice hockey teams. Seven of those teams are ranked by the International Ice Hockey Federation.

There are seven jersey manufacturers in the mens tournament. 4F, Adidas, Airness, El Placer De Ser, Jako, Nike, and Puma. Adidas, Nike, and Puma are the only brands returning from the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Puma have the most teams with four. Adidas has the second most with four. Nike has the third most with two teams. 4F, Airness, El Placer De Ser, and Jako all have one team. Puma, Adidas, and Nike make their own hockey jerseys. For this concept, Airness partners with Bauer to make their jerseys. El Placer De Ser partners with Athletic Knit (ECHL jersey provider) to make their jerseys. Jako partners with New Balance (NCAA jersey provider) to make their jerseys. 4F partners with CCM (CHL and AHL jersey provider) to make their jerseys.

For this concept the venues will be the same as they are for the soccer tournaments at Paris 2024. None of these venues have hosted ice hockey games before. There are seven venues in seven cities. Stade de Marseille has a capacity of 67,394. Stade de Lyon has a capacity of 59,186. Parc des Princes has a capacity of 47, 929. Satde de Bordeaux has a capacity of 42,115. Stade Geoffroy-Guichard has a capacity of 41,965. Stade de Nice has a capacity of 36,178. Stade de la Beaujoire has a capacity of 35,322. All of the stadiums used for soccer at Paris 2024 were preexisting.

The officials have the same uniforms seen in my Qatar 2022 and Australia New Zealand 2023 concepts. The difference here is the logos have been updated for Paris 2024.
