The Reno Ice Adult League Summer 2024 E-League Playoffs start tomorrow. Reno Pond Hockey finished their regular season on Monday, August 12th against Pure Luck. The RIAL Summer 2024 E-League Semifinals are back to back tomorrow. The number one seed Mad Hops will play the number four seed Pure Luck at 8:15 PM. The number two seed Reno Pond Hockey will play the number three seed Satan’s Gatekeepers at 9:45 PM. The semifinal winners will match up in the RIAL Summer 2024 E-League Championship game on Sunday, August 25th, at 4:00 PM. That game is part of Championship Sunday where all of the Championship games are played back to back.
Reno Pond Hockey secured a playoff spot after a 7-3 victory over Satan’s Gatekeepers on Sunday, July 7th. This will be Reno Pond Hockeys fifth appearance in the Reno Ice Adult League playoffs. They have qualified for the RIAL Playoffs five times in ten seasons. This will be their first playoff appearance since the RIAL Spring 2023 season. They have missed the playoffs the last three seasons. Reno Pond Hockey secured the second seed in the playoffs. This is their second playoffs as the number two seed. Reno Pond hockey only missed out on the number one seed by four points (two wins). Reno Pond Hockey have won two RIAL Championships before. They finished the regular season with a record of 7-2-1 with 15 points. This is a big achievement for the team after losing twenty five games in a row over three seasons and being dropped down to the E-League. This is Reno Pond Hockeys first season in the E-League. This is their tenth season overall in the RIAL.
Reno Pond Hockey will be playing the number three seed Satan’s Gatekeepers in the RIAL Summer 2024 E-League Semifinals. The winner will advance to the RIAL Summer 2024 E-League Championship game. Satan’s Gatekeepers finished the regular season with a record of 7-3-0 and 14 points. This will be the third time they have played each other this season. Reno Pond Hockey are 1-0-1 against Satan’s Gatekeepers this season. Reno Pond Hockey are 4-1-0 in RIAL Semifinal games. If Reno Pond Hockey advance to the RIAL E-League Championship game, it will be their fifth RIAL Championship game appearance. Reno Pond Hockey are 2-1-0 in RIAL Championship games.
The other RIAL Summer 2024 E-League Playoff Semifinal game is between the number one seed Mad Hops and the number four seed Pure Luck. That game will be before Reno Pond Hockeys Semifinal game. Just like in the Reno Pond Hockey game, the winner of the first semifinal game will advance to the RIAL Spring 2023 E-League Championship game.
