Reno Pond Hockey is getting ready for its eleventh season in the Reno Ice Adult League. The upcoming season is the RIAL Fall 2021 season. The schedule is already out. Reno Pond Hockey start their season tonight. The Reno Pond Hockey schedule can be seen here. There was very little time between last season and this season.

It will be the eleventh season in the RIAL for Reno Pond Hockey. Reno Pond Hockey made the playoffs and championship game for the first time in four seasons. They broke a twenty six game losing streak that happened over the course of four seasons. This will be the first RIAL Fall season that Reno Pond Hockey is participating in since the RIAL Fall 2022 season. Reno Pond Hockey made great improvements during the RIAL Summer 2024 season. They are a better team now than they were back during the RIAL Spring 2024 season. Winning games was a solid first step. Getting back into the playoffs was a big step. Advancing to the championship game was also another big step. There is not a lot of pressure on the team going into this season. Last season there was some pressure to be a top team. That pressure is not there going into this season as the focus is now to improve as a team. They are hoping with continued improvement that they will be able to build on last seasons success.

Reno Pond Hockeys joined the Reno Ice Adult League as a founding member for the Summer 2021 season. Reno Pond Hockey was one of the original RIAL teams. Reno Pond Hockey played its first three seasons in B-League. In the summer of 2022, the RIAL restructured and Reno Pond Hockey was sent down to D-League. In the summer of 2024 Reno Pond Hockey was sent down to the E-League.

Reno Pond Hockey has made the playoffs five times. Reno Pond Hockey has made the championship game four times. Reno Pond Hockey has won two regular season titles and two championships. All of Reno Pond Hockeys regular season titles, and championship wins came in the D-League.

Last season Reno Pond Hockey finished the regular season in second of six. They had a regular season record of 7-2-1. They were second in goals scored last season with 45. They had the fourth most goals allowed in the league with 36. They did secure a playoff spot. They won their semifinal match. They lost in the championship game.

Reno Pond Hockey opens up the season against the Satan’s Gatekeepers on Wednesday, September 4th at 9:30 PM at home. Reno Pond Hockey also plays the Satan’s Gatekeepers on Saturday, November 16th at 10:00 PM. Satan’s Gatekeepers came in third place last season. They had a record of 7-3-0. They were eliminated in the RIAL Summer 2024 Semifinals by Reno Pond Hockey.

The all-time record between Reno Pond Hockey and Satan’s Gatekeepers is 2-0-1. Reno Pond Hockey has scored 14 goals against Satan’s Gatekeepers.
