It is Halloween eve. I hope everyone is ready for some spooky fun. The Tahoe Knight Monsters have three games coming up this week. All three games are against the Idaho Steelheads. All three games are in Lake Tahoe at the Tahoe Blue Events Center. The first game is on Thursday, October 31st which is Halloween night. They are ding a Halloween theme for the game. The second game is on Friday, November 1st. They will be doing a Wizard theme for that game. The third game of this week will be on Saturday, November 2nd. That game will be the last home game for a couple of weeks as the Knight Monsters travel to Utah next week. The Idaho Steelheads are from Boise Idaho. The Idaho Steelheads were named after a fish. They have been around since 1997. They are the last remaining team in the ECHL from when the ECHL absorbed the WCHL in 2003. They have won three regular season titles, six division titles, six conference titles and 2 Kelly Cups. The Steelheads are in the ECHL Western Conference Mountain Division like the Knight Monsters. The Idaho Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars.

The Tahoe Knight Monsters will take on the Idaho Steelheads for game three of the season on Thursday, October 31st. The game will be in Stateline Nevada at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM. The theme is Halloween Monster Mash Knight. There will be pregame trick-or-treating for kids at 6:00 PM. Fans are encouraged to wear costumes for a costume contests. I saw a video earlier this week of a team of a team bring everyone who dressed up on the ice for a parade. Me and my fiancé will be dressing up like the 1920s. I also am making custom masks for the game.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM. The theme is Wizards Knight. They may be giving out scarfs. That might just be part of a ticket promo it is unclear. Wizard Knight looks to be themed mostly around Harry Potter. I am not a big Harry Potter guy. I watched the first movie as a kid and was not really interested. I might dress up for this game. If I do I will be a nondescript Wizard. As part of the promo the Knight Monsters are giving out prizes.

The Tahoe Knight Monsters will take on the Idaho Steelheads for game five of the season on Saturday, November 2nd. This will be the last game of the home stand. The game will be in Stateline Nevada at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM. The theme is DC Comics or Justice League. They are encouraging fans to dress up in their favorite super hero swag. I am a DC Comics fan. I prefer DC Comics to Marvel. It is sad how Warner Bros. has handled DC Comics after the Dark Knight Rises but The Batman, Joker, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Batman: The Long Halloween, The Suicide Squad, Justice Society: World War II, Superman: Red Son are some recent good DC Comics movies. Peacemaker is one of my favorite shows to come out in the 2020s. Batman the Animated Series, Justice League, Teen Titans, Batman Beyond, and the Batman Dark Knight series is what made me like DC Comics over Marvel. While I do like some Marvel stuff, I find myself rewatching DC Comics stuff a lot more. The less serious tone of Marvel sometimes leaves me with no sense of a threat or danger.
