The Tahoe Knight Monsters take on the Kansas City Mavericks for three games this week. All three games are in Stateline, Nevada at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. The first game of this home stand will be on Wednesday, November 19th at 10:30 AM. The Theme for that game is School Day. The second game will be on Friday, November 22nd at 7:30 PM. The Third game will be on Saturday, November 23rd, at 7:00 PM. Friday and Saturday are both Cancer Awareness Knights. The Tahoe Knight Monsters have played ten games going into this home stand. The Kansas City Mavericks have played twelve games. The Kansas City Mavericks lead the Tahoe Knight Monsters by five points.

Kansas City has had several pro hockey teams dating back to the 1927. They even had an NHL team named the Kansas City Scouts from 1947-1976. The Kansas City Mavericks started out in 2009 as the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League. The Mavericks were one of the teams absorbed from the CHL into the ECHL in 2014. In 2017 they changed their name from the Missouri Mavericks to the Kansas City Mavericks. The Kansas City Mavericks have won three regular season titles, two division titles and one conference title. They did make the 2023-24 Kelly Cup Finals. The Kansas City Mavericks are in the ECHL Western Conference Mountain Division with the Tahoe Knight Monsters. The Kansas City Mavericks are the ECHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken.
