Hayes and defender Elijah Vilio were placed on reserve by the Knight Monsters. #30 Tomas Sholl got the start in net for the Idaho Steelheads. It was his second start of the season for the Steelheads. On Friday, defender Chandler Romeo and forward Jade Miller were activated from reserve by the Idaho Steelheads. Defender Romain Rodzinski and forward Blake Swetikoff were placed on reserve by the Steelheads.

Ten minutes into the second period, #19 Lynden McCallum scored to give the Steelheads a two goal lead. His goal was assisted by #47 Patrick Kudla and #91 Mark Olver.
With under three minutes left in the second period, #9 Brendan Hoffmann scored for the Steelheads. His goal was assisted by #43 Matt Register and #15 C.J. Walker. This goal made the score 4-1.
Six seconds after the goal, #11 Hank Crone of the Steelheads received a penalty for Hooking. On the penalty kill, #9 Brendan Hoffmann scored a short handed goal for the Steelheads. His goal assisted assisted by #18 A.J. White and #47 Patrick Kudla.
As the second period came to a close, Ryan Prgel of the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a penalty for fighting and Thomas Caron of the Steelheads received a penalty for fighting and for instigating. The score was 5-1 Steelheads heading into the third period.
Four minutes into the third period, #13 Simon Pinard scored for the Tahoe Knight Monsters. His goal was assisted by #49 Artur Cholach and #55 Chris Dodero.
Seven minutes into the third period, #74 Connor Punnett of the Idaho Steelheads received a penalty for holding. Ten minutes into the third period, Adam Pitters of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for high-sticking. Just after the powerplay, #29 Connor MacEachern scored for the Steelheads to complete his hat trick. His goal was assisted by #11 Thomas Caron and #43 Matt Register.
With under five minutes left in the game, Chris Dodero of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for slashing. The final score was 6-2 Idaho Steelheads.

This was a tough loss for the Tahoe Knight Monsters. The defense was not there in the second period. Allowing the Idaho Steelheads to score five goals in a row is not good. They had a stronger third period. Hopefully they can put this one behind them quick.
The Idaho Steelheads had thirteen more shots. The Steelheads had the better shot percentage.
