Defender Brandon Tabakin of the Tahoe Knight Monsters has been traded to the Wheeling Nailers on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025. This completes a trade made back in September. Cal Kiefiuk was original traded from the Wheeling Nailers to the Tahoe Knight Monsters for future considerations. Tabakin scored two goals with four assists for six total points in thirty games with the Tahoe Knight Monsters this season. He had four penalty minutes with a +/- of -3. I wish him nothing but luck with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization.

Today the Henderson Silver Knights have assigned forward Jakub Demek to the Tahoe Knight Monsters. Demek was drafted 128th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2021. He was on the Slovakia U-20 team in 2022. He won the Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup during the 2021-22 season as a member of the Edmonton Oil Kings. Demek is in his second professional season. He spent all of last season with the Henderson Silver Knights. He was injured after playing fifty five games. He appears to have spent most of this season with the Vegas Golden Knights. He has not played a game yet this season. He is likely with the Tahoe Knight Monsters as part of recovery and will likely rejoin the Henderson Silver Knights after a rehab stint. It is also possible that he was moved to the Tahoe Knight Monsters to make space on either the Vegas Golden Knights or Henderson Silver Knights roster. Last season Demek scored seven goals with nine assists for sixteen total points in fifty five games for the Henderson silver Knights. He had twenty two penalty minutes with a +/- of -10.
