The Tahoe Knight Monsters took an early lead. They held onto the lead going into the second period. They were able to score another early goal in the second to build on their lead. The Florida Everblades did get one back in the second. The Knight Monsters scored two more in the second to put the game out of reach for the Everblades. The Evervlades couldn’t catch back up in the third period. The Everblades had three different ten minute misconduct penalties that did not help. Three of the six Knight Monsters goals came on the powerplay. It’s like the Knight Monsters took the lead and the Everblades dug themselves into a hole with penalties. It was nice to see the Knight Monsters get a win in Florida. The Knight Monsters snapped their four game losing streak. The Everblades couldn’t continue their seven game winning streak.

These three games in Florida were on the calendar as the biggest test of the season for the Tahoe Knight Monsters. The Florida Everblades were coming into this season after winning the last three ECHL championships in a row. Overall I think the Knight Monsters held their own considering who their opponent was. Wednesdays game was close. In Fridays game the Knight Monsters couldn’t get their offense going but still limited the scoring of the Everblades. The Knight Monster finished off their Florida trip with a big win. This proves that the Knight Monsters can be considered a top ECHL team. They held their own against the toughest team in the league for two games and blew them out in the third game.
