The Tahoe Knight Monsters take on the Wichita Thunder for the next two to three games of the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs this week. All three games will be in Stateline at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. The first game is round one game three and will be on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:00 PM. The second game is round one game four and will be on Friday, April 24th at 7:30 PM. The third game is round one game five and will be on Saturday April 25th. Game five will only happen if the Thunder win game three or four. These are the third, fourth, and fifth games in a best of seven series. Wednesdays game will be the first ever Tahoe Knight Monsters home playoff game. The Tahoe Knight Monsters finished the regular season in third place in the ECHL Western Conference Mountain Division. The Wichita Thunder finished the regular season in second place in the ECHL Western Conference Mountain Division. The Tahoe Knight Monsters currently lead the best of seven series 2-0.
The Tahoe Knight Monsters are the ECHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights. The Wichita Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks. The Knight Monsters are coming off of back-to-back games in Wichita for the first two games of this playoff round. The Knight Monsters and Thunder have now played each other in the last five straight games going back to the regular season. The Tahoe Knight Monsters are coming off of a 8-1 victory over the Thunder. The Wichita Thunder are coming off of back-to-back losses at home to start this series.
