The Tahoe Knight Monsters are heading to Independence, Missouri for a back-to-back showdown against the Kansas City Mavericks. Both games are set to take place at Cable Dahmer Arena. The series kicks off on Friday, January 23rd, with puck drop scheduled for 5:00 PM. The action continues the following day as the two teams meet again on Saturday, January 24th, this time with an earlier 4:00 PM start. It’s a quick two-game set that should bring plenty of intensity as Tahoe looks to make the most of their road trip.
This matchup presents a serious test for the Tahoe Knight Monsters. As the ECHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights, Tahoe enters the series sitting third in the division with a strong 22-13-3 record. They’re riding some momentum after picking up an overtime win against the Wichita Thunder, but the road ahead doesn’t get any easier. The Kansas City Mavericks, ECHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, have been the team to beat all season. They currently hold first place in both the division and the overall ECHL standings with an impressive 27-7-2 record. Kansas City is also in the middle of a scorching twelve-game winning streak. They are coming off a three-game sweep of the Utah Grizzlies, making them one of the hottest teams in the league right now.
