The Tahoe Knight Monsters return to home ice this week after grinding through a seven-game road trip, and they’ll be greeted by a familiar Mountain Division rival in the Utah Grizzlies for a three-game series. It all begins on Wednesday, February 4th at 7:00 PM, in a matchup that was originally slated for Sunday but was rescheduled to avoid clashing with the Super Bowl. The homestand continues Friday, February 6th at 7:00 PM, marking the start of the team’s back-to-back retro weekend games. The series wraps up on Saturday, February 7th at 7:00 PM, as the Knight Monsters close out the stretch with the second retro-themed contest in as many nights, giving fans a full weekend of throwback hockey at home.

The Tahoe Knight Monsters head into this series sitting third in the division with a 23-16-4 record, continuing to hold a strong position in the Mountain Division race. They’ll look to build on momentum from their recent win over the Kansas City Mavericks as they return to home ice. Tahoe also carries the backing of an NHL pipeline as the ECHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights, a connection that has played a role in the team’s depth and development throughout the season. On the other side, the Utah Grizzlies enter the matchup in seventh place in the division with a 15-23-4 record and searching for answers. Utah is coming off three straight losses to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and is currently riding a four-game losing streak overall. As the ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, the Grizzlies still have the pieces to be dangerous, but they’ll be eager to turn things around and halt their slide against a division opponent.
