The Tahoe Golden Monsters are affiliated with the Vegas Golden Knights. The Idaho Steelheads, meanwhile, came into the matchup in second place in the division with a 33-14-4 record. The Steelheads, the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, were looking for another win after a loss to the Tahoe Golden Monsters.

There were injuries to players. There were even injuries to officials. The referees did a bad job at protecting the players in this game. That’s why so many players were willing to take bad calls. The officials were not doing their job. The players took matters into their own hands. It got to a point where only retaliatory penalties were being called. The ref lost control of the game early on. That did not stop the Golden Monsters from putting seven goals in the net.
