The Tahoe Knight Monsters are looking for a bounce back. Last nights loss was a rough one. The Knight Monsters only had about ten minutes of solid game play yesterday. In that time they managed to score three goals. I know Tahoe can beat this team. They have to have sixty minutes of solid play. Last night was not it. Every game is very important at this stage in the season. There is still a rink of Tahoe not making the playoffs. The Knight Monsters should be pushing to get up to third place so they don’t have to face the Kansas City Mavericks in the first round. Last nights efforts were not enough they need to step it up today. Net front presence is a big area they need improvement on. Last night almost every shot missed the net or hit the goalie square on. There were also multiple passes that went through the crease. There were also multiple rebounds in front of the net that Tahoe was not able to capitalize on. The easiest way to fix that on the offensive side of things is to put bodies in front of the net. Multiple times in the last game if someone was in front of the Tahoe would have scored. On the defense end Tahoe still needs to tighten up. Defensive zone giveaways led to several goals last night. I think getting bodies in front and cleaner zone exits will lead to a win for Tahoe. On the other end, the Rapid City Rush are still a dangerous team. They proved that with a win last night. Last nights game was scrappy. I expect that to continue. It should be a good game. Tahoe know what they need to do to win. Will they do it? Or will the Rapid City Rush get another upset?
