
The Tahoe Knight Monsters played the Rapid City Rush on Saturday. The game was at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. The Tahoe Knight Monsters were fourth in the division with a record of 31-27-5. The Tahoe Knight Monsters are the ECHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights. The Tahoe Knight Monsters were coming off a loss to the Rapid City Rush. The Rapid City Rush were in seventh place in the division with a record of 26-31-5. The Rapid City Rush are the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames. The Rapid City Rush were coming off a win over the Tahoe Knight Monsters.





Fourteen seconds into the game, the Tahoe Knight Monsters scored to take the lead. Two minutes into the game, the Rapid City Rush were called for too many men. Five minutes into the game, Tahoe were given a four minute penalty for roughing. At the same tine Rapid City was called for roughing. Midway through the first period, Tahoe were called for fighting. Rapid City were also called for fighting. The Knight Monsters scored right after the fight to take a two-goal lead. With eight minutes left in the period, the Rush scored to cut the lead down to one goal. With under two minutes left in the period, the Rush scored to tie the game. Right after the tying goal, Rapid City were called for abusive language. The score was tied at 2-2 after the first period.

Three minutes into the second period, the Rapid City Rush scored to take the lead. Six minutes into the second period, Tahoe was called for delay of game. The Rush scored on the power play to take a two-goal lead. Eight minutes into the second period, Rapid City were called for high-sticking. With under thirty seconds left in the period, the Knight Monsters scored to bring the lead down to one. The Rapid City Rush had a 4-3 lead going into the third period.

Two minutes into the third period, the Rapid City Rush scored to to retake a two goal lead. Four minutes into the second period Rapid City were called for slashing. On the power play, the Knight Monsters scored to bring the lead down to one goal. With six minutes left in the game, Tahoe were called for high-sticking. The Knight Monsters did pull their goalie for the extra attacker. It was not enough. The Rush held on. The final score was 5-4, Rapid City Rush.
