The Tahoe Knight Monsters are officially headed to the ECHL 2026 Kelly Cup Playoffs, marking the second playoff appearance in franchise history. Tahoe clinched their spot earlier this week thanks to a result elsewhere in the division, as the Allen Americans defeated the Wichita Thunder, securing the Knight Monsters’ place in the postseason field. Tahoe enters the playoffs as the fourth seed in the Mountain Division after locking up the final postseason spot. With their position now set, the Knight Monsters can no longer move up in the standings and will turn their full attention to a first-round matchup against the Kansas City Mavericks. It’s a challenging draw, but one that sets the stage for an exciting series.
The Knight Monsters playoff run will begin on April 24th, 2026, as part of a league-wide postseason that officially kicks off on April 23rd. Tahoe fans will have multiple opportunities to see their team at home, with games scheduled for April 29th and April 30th, and a potential additional home game on May 2nd if the series extends.
