Prediction: The Tampa Bay Lightning Will Sweep The Montreal Canadians In The Stanley Cup Final Tonight

When the Stanley Cup Final started, I asked a lot of people who they thought would win. Most people said they were rooting for Montreal. I on the other hand said Tampa Bay was going to win. After game one I said Tampa Bay would sweep the series. Most people I talked too were still confident that the series would go to six or seven games.

I propose one of two scenarios will happen tonight. The most likely scenario is that Tampa Bay will outright win tonight. Thus bringing the cup back to Tampa for the third time after back to back Stanley Cup final wins. The less likely scenario is that Carrey Price will stand on his head to help Montreal force a game five. I don’t think they can force a game 5. Montreal played their best (so far) in game two and still lost. They played what was probably their best hockey of the playoffs in that game. Montreal made massive improvement over night for that game. Losing game two might have lost Montreal the series. Game three was like Montreal didn’t even show up. Any momentum they had coming into this series is long gone. All the momentum is on Tampa Bays side. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Montreal players feel like they can’t win this after the last game. Montreal has nothing going for them going into this game. That’s why Tampa Bay is going to win.

So congratulations to the Tampa Bay Lightning on winning back to back Stanley Cups.
