My last post aged like fine milk. The Montreal Canadians found a way to win. Will lightning strike twice for Montreal tonight? No I don’t think it will.
in order for the Montreal Canadians to win the Stanley Cup they would have to win three straight games. Can they do it? Probably not. The Tampa Bay Lightning had beat the Montreal Canadians in games one through three by at least two goals in each game. The Canadians didn’t even have a lead until game four. Only four NHL teams have ever come back from a three games to zero deficit in an NHL playoff series. Only one of those teams was in the final. Yes the Toronto Maple Leafs won a cup in 1942 after going down three games to zero. 1942. 79 years ago was the last time it happened. I think it’s reasonable to assume that it won’t happen this year. I think it’s reasonable to assume Tampa Bay won’t completely fall apart. Not after mostly dominating the series up to game four. Yes I think the Lightning will win tonight. Yes I think they will win the Stanley Cup.
